Broken FRONT Motor Mount

Pulled the engine yet again tonight...front motor mount on the PTO side is done, any tips on replacing? Also what is the best way to try and reform the belly pan plastic? When the PTO sheared it did alot of damage to the clucth side plastic when it shot the clucth into the belly pan @ 8300 RPM :yell:

The motor mount is pretty simple. Break the top half off if it isn't ripped in half already. There should be metal "ears" off the bottom plate if the last person to change it didn't put it on upside down. Ideally take an air hammer with a chisel bit and hit the ears. It will spin it and break it loose. If no air hammer, then hammer and chisel. If it will not come loose like that, weld a nut to the plate that the rubber was glued to then just put a wrench on it and spin it off.

To reform your belly pan, A heat gun, or even a hair dryer with warm up the plastic enough to reshape it. Good luck getting it back together again.

Thanks, yes it was split in half. I'll go have a look and get rid of the rest of the rubber...sounds pretty easy. As for the plastic I already have an industrial heater blasting away at that side so should form back into place w ease. Thanks again

Sounds like the rest of your mounts are bad to,your eng should never hit the plastic, torque stops ,arms ect. I learned the hard way tore three in the back country had to use tydowns and straps to keep it in to get out.

I replaced that one on mine at Christmas. I had to drop the skid plate and pop a hole plug out to get to the bottom nut. My mount had a stud on either side and the nut for the bottom was impossible for me to get to without going underneath. Once that is out of the way, it is easy to change out. With the motor out, check the lower steering connection and bushing while you are there.
