Breaking down snow check offers, thoughts ?

Although the 0 percent offer seems nice since I will be financing part of the new sled, I'm leaning towards the 4 year/2.99 deal

My dealer is very good with warranty, and I think this will be a sled more for the fiancé to drive and I'll stay on the 13 for a couple more seasons. Seems to make the most sense. I'll drive it it when she doesn't come out, and she will the rest of the time. So it will be around for at least four seasons. So the 4 year seems very attractive

How does every one else break down the offers?

Hmmm, I thought it was 3 years (36 mos) at 2.99%. At a $14,000 purchase price and assuming you take the entire 36 months to pay it off the warranty will cost you $650. That's how much interest you will pay on the 2.99% loan for $14,000. How much does the extended warranty cost if you buy it outright? That would be nice to know and a definite deciding factor.

I want the 4 year warranty. I keep my sleds for awhile, it's a nice resale feature if I don't and I don't do things to my sleds to void the warranty. Lots of guys go with the warranty and then immediately void it with a bunch of aftermarket parts so the cost of the warranty is a waste for them.

So the answer is - it depends.

OOOOO

You want to talk circles? I'll talk circles. I can talk circles with anybody. You want to? Let's do it. Circles are fun. I can talk circles with the best of 'em. Just don't get to circle-y or I might start rambling....
JK. In all seriousness I have a difficult enough time choosing the sled I want let alone what to get with it or what to put on it. Cateye is on the right path though. The 4 yr warranty would be very nice to have and if you sold it before it was up would probably be a nice selling point and would give you a few hundred dollars more on resale so you would make up your interest money paid.
....or get the 0% if you plan on twin turboing, triple piping, case bored, with a modified tunnel and bulkhead.
Good luck on your choice. I'm sure you can't go wrong either way. It's a nice problem to have, I'm sure.

Anybody know if you can purchase the 4 year warranty at a premium while still taking advantage of the 0% financing?

I may end up being a wash as far as total price but I feel better paying Polaris extra for a warranty then paying a bank interest. :)

Remember that Polaris also does a 12 month no interest financing. That's what I did. I had to finance about 6000 of my 2016 and knew I could pay it off in 12 months. The bad part of that is, if you don't pay it off in 12 months, it goes to 9.99% and back charges you from the original finance amount.

You have to figure the cost of say 1.99% over the 3-5 years of the balance on the sled. So if you finance $12,500 it will be about $500-600 over a 3 year period. It is going to cost you about a grand to get a 3 year warranty. So you save money buy getting the warranty over the financing. That is if you have warranty issues. If you mod it that will void the warranty so finance it.

disclaimer, I am not an accountant and my numbers may be "off" The dealer can tell you exactly how much you will pay in interest over the financing time vs what a warranty cost.

I'd be plenty surprised if you can't, for an additional cost. Warranty is just an add-on, with a price and value, at snocheck.

0% financing is so attractive for a toy but it sucks being stuck with a 1yr warranty on a $14,000 vehicle.

I'm trying to decide between snow check and waiting until fall right now. Warranty, color choices and painted parts are the only pluses that I can see from snow check.

I bought my current off the floor and I got a second year warranty and paid less. I've got to believe 0% is going to hang around into the fall.
