Brad Storys latest project

I was stuck around the Jefferson area...fairly skinny shot between the trees...steep (very safe snow). A sled ripped up past me as I was thinking "I hope this guy knows what he's doing." It was Brad Story on his 1200 turbo. You could feel that thing in your chest as he went by. Mesh hood, side exit pipe the size of a diesel truck...you could hear him barely letting the turbo spool and he wheelied past me...he was on and off it...quick spool, super clean runner. He turned around and helped me get unstuck...nice guy...nice sled! Made my M1000 feel look like a 250 enticer on that hill.

sorry no pics to busy hanging on Im sure there will be plenty to come.
as for you freak you too will be admitting defeat by more than one ...

So you are saying that your sled is within 4 sled lengths of the TRex ..... chuckle chuckle..... Shane I appreciate you so much. Just the motivation I needed to get the beast back up and running!

just for the record I have a 2003 rx1 and hers what I think its heavy and hard to make teck pulls on its fast straight but you cant turn in tight spots,I can promise you this I put more miles on carving around cliffs ,rocks, and trees in 1 season than freaks rx1 has on it total just for the record it took freak 3 of the 5 years to get his sled where it was before it broke.....o ya the m7, m8 ,and m1000 are all up and going better than ever.

Im betting your RX is close to stock and prob not even fast. Mine is 540lbs and with the steering moved forward is quite rideable. Yes you can and do ride and are one of the best and craziest. I worry about guys like you and I hope you stay safe, I have no desire to do even half of what you and Brad do. I hope some of your stuff is in some of the "other" vids this year so I can see it. The Trex was bullet proof for a lot of years and I challenge to show me a sled that ran as much nitrous and hp as it did for so long without a rebuild. The only reason it went down was from a dead battery which led to a backfire on startup..... grrrrrrr...... but now it will be fixed and stronger than before. I used to blow through about 2 quarts of coolant a day. Im guessing when i stop that compression loss that it will result in hp gain. I look forward to racing you and brad and Val. I am most worried about Val because he is a sick tuner and very competitive. I just hope there are lots of fast sleds at Fairview, including mine. :beer;

this thread was started to give someone a compliment ,gezz are you guys really that scared or just hard up for a race if you want to race Im game and deffentantly not scared

Jim- That wasn't on Thurs Feb 21st was it? If so I might have a short video clip of you (orange M1000?)

My group was out there and there was a bunch of guys with serious iron out there that day and your description of Brad's new toy is spot on of one we saw doin a tailstand at the top of what would be the back/North side of Reas. They were in a big group that was taking photos and rolled in with trailers decaled front to back with a Klim Ad.

The list of sleds looked like a friggen modstock magazine.
Turbo Propane Nitro
Turbo D8
Turbos of every other flavor

I gotta figure out how to get it from my camera on to the computer. (new cam) unfortunately not too great of video we just rolled up when Story (I think) was in his crazy climb. I looked like a Japanese tourist scrambling for my camcorder.:D I'll work on it.

I think it was that Friday and I was on a black M1000 w/ orange decals and seat. Maybe that was the day you are talking about or I'm mixed up?? But, yeah, post the video and I'll let you know for sure. I was the one going very slow compared to the turbos! :) Man, those sleds were something to behold...what a group of iron. We were talking how that group of sleds was probably worth more than our houses.

Does this mean we can expect to see you there? cool.

We were there on Friday now that I think about it.

I'm working on the vid now but looking at it again the only thing I caught of the turbos was the propane nytro just putting around and one little climb of a D8T just burping it along a medium sized climb. I'm new to the whole video on the computer thing so bear with me.

OK here's the video that I have and unfortunately I didn't catch Brads Ride. not much but it's a little taste.

Brad could make a 550 fan look like a monster, the man has some mad skills. Some of the really great riders out there have a bit of a celebrity complex, nothing could be further from the truth with Brad. One of the nicest most down to earth guys I have met on the snow. I hope to see the big 1200 on the snow this year.

Freak I hope you get the t-rex back up running as I would like to witness the legend run.

Shane when are we going to ride again? Seems like forever since we rode together?

The first part is the mentioned M1000 then some of the guys taking photos on the end of the hogs back. Last part is that D8T I mentioned. Like I said not much.

Now I know why you use the name alrevedup:eek:

No problem on the vid I needed to figure that out anyway.

I though my new sled was fast went riding with brad yesterday he pulled me by 4 sleds its also the coolest sounding sled ever.
by the way his sled is a m 1000 with a D & D 1200 and a bigger turbo than my truck it spools instantly and takes flight we were gearing out in less than 150 ft Brad said his speedo read 92 mph at three seconds on the flipper,
nice job Brad you have amazed me agin

Shain, come on, your sled it pretty dang fast...once you dialed it up to 11 psi, he didn't beat you by much on that first run...he got you for sure on the second run, but your sled was way hot by then but the start was still pretty close.

However, that whistle from the blow-off on Brad's is freaking COOL!

Oh and THANKS for getting mine dialed in...my shoulders are still a bit sore :)
