BR Tech Photogallery of lightweight products

Personally I would never buy any BR Tech products again, at least not any of their lexan plastics. Ordered a set for my 05 rev and they are a joke. Don't fit well at all, don't come with any installation instructions or even all the parts you need to keep them on your sled and if that isn't enough, I put my knee through both side panels on the first ride with them just going down the trail. Not a quality product and total waste of money and time IMO.

sounds like to me cory you dont have as many satisfied customers as you say time to get back to the drawing board!!

Sorry, not trying to slam you cory. I just think you guys have the potential to make a way better product. Again I'm only talking about your plastics, not sure how your vents or other products hold up. Definatly room for improvement with the hoods and panels though.

Cory, I love your products..they look great. I have one of the hoods on my 1000 summit...I know that the products are suppost to be "lightweight" but I wish they were a little thicker...if im playing in the powder or going down the highway...the hood will cave in. Like I said I love the looks but I do wish You guys offered a thicker product...Thanks!!!

Ya, thicker would be a good start...

any body ever have a problem with the thrasher hood on the iqr? Thinking of buying one. A buddy of mine had one on his wedge chassis and I really liked it, very tough and light, didn't handle exhaust heat well though, any feedback?

I can give you the idea or option of our screen kits. They will help keep that engine compartment cool and let that heat out so you won't have this problem.

Thank you for the compliment. You have one of our lexan rev hoods and it caves in? Do you mean it flexes in the middle or...? Sorry just trying to get a mental picture here. The more info i know the better i can help you out. We have a few thicknesses of lexan. I could see it maybe happening on our race red or race black but wouldnt guess that our other lexan would. As you know the thicker we go the heavier we get. So its a hard compromise. I'd like to hear back from you.

Thanks

Cory

I realize that our sides for the revs aren't our best product ever. I was just explaining in a different thread that when we made the mold for these panels it was our first time making them and they were rather difficult to make. We also had a more inexperienced person working on them. Since then we have hired a very talented body work and composites guy that has done an awesome job with everything since then. We would like to redo the old rev panels but we've been busy playing catch up on all the new sleds. I think we will eventually re work the rev panel molds but it will be after we get our current projects done. As for putting both your knees through them you must have some tough knees man. I got this definition for lexan from wikipedia really quick. "Lexan (LEXAN) is a registered trademark for SABIC Innovative Plastics' (formerly General Electric Plastics) a brand of highly durable polycarbonate resin thermoplastic intended to replace traditional glass and Plexiglas where the need for strength and impact resistance justifies its higher cost." So you must've been hitting those things pretty hard.
