BR Tech Photo Gallery of Lightweight Lexan Products

Hey there, long weekend. I'll show them to my boss and see what he thinks. I'll be gone again tomorrow and the rest of today but i'll get back to you wednesday. From what i could see they looked about like how they fit on most of our sleds but i just looked really quick.

my name is jason miller i ordered my pannels from summit motosports last year so maybe you can look that up, anyway cory this is the first i have heard of you so maybe things are different now, but you guys left a bad immpresion on me and summit i use to work there and jeff feels the same way so if you are the person who is now taking care of these situations the there are still some emty wallets out there, if this can be taken care of i will gladley applogise for my post i will send the pics asap thanks jason.

Hey Jason,
I'm sorry to inform you that we feel like the panels were cut to stock and that they are meant as only lightweight racing replacements and may not fit as exact as stock. Our side panels are one of our biggest selling products and we have few to any complaints about them. I'm sorry they didn't meet your expectations. If you would like to get some panels that you can custom cut yourself so that it is more what you want i can maybe get you dealer price or at least some discount on a new set. That way if we don't cut them out here there is no chance of scratches or miscutting. I'm sorry i cant be of more help. We do appreciate your business though!

Thank you

Cory

haha come on guys the product is exactly as advertised... the big hole for the pull cord is to keep the weight down!!

serioiusly I was about a mouse click away from ordering a trasher hood but after seein this I've decided I'll just add some more zip ties to the stocker!

The fit in those pictures is unbelievable, lightweight race replacement or not. They aren't even close. I wouldn't want a set if they were free. How can you sell stuff like this???

Aftermarket appearance parts should LOOK BETTER than stock parts including fit and finish and aftermarket performance parts should PERFORM BETTER than stock but most don't. After purchasing many parts for cars, ATVs, and sleds I now know most aftermarket stuff is junk and I have to resist the urge to believe the claims.

Hang on a second guys please.

I personally have no reason to buy extremely lightweight panels for my sled because I'm not a racer or into professional climbing competitions or what have you.

If I were a racer and every ounce counted then it would seem to me that these panels are exactly as described and sold.
Extreme lightweight competition type panels to keep the snow off the motor and have a vague appearance of the stock shape of the sled.

Have you ever walked up to a nascar rig and looked at the skin on them?
Up-close they're a pretty ugly fit because they're made to be very light and quickly replaceable. Same as these panels I'm thinking.

If you're looking for having bragging rights with your buddies (and who doesn't) out at the local hill or trail about losing a bunch of weight on your sled and still want precise fit and finish then these are not for you.
They are for the serious competitor.
We all want lighter sleds and these panels are extemely light but you will sacrifice fit.
If you want pretty then buy pretty panels but don't trash this company because you bought light when you wanted pretty.

Really, I'm not being sarcastic and I'm not trying to be an "A" hole but they are what they are....A competition style lightweight panel.

i agree the fiting on the left panel is chity it looks like who ever cut out the mounts cut them about an inch to low but i think the right panel looks good the reson behind the big hole is because the stock panel tapers back to the pull cord handle and depending on the machine they use to make these it may not be able to get the matirial at the right angle i would just put one of those trim rings on it (unless it doesnt fit) but that is just my opinion i can see where both sides are coming from

i guess i am more angry because once i received the pannels they weren't what i expected all i wanted to do was return them so after i sent them back i never received my money back 300+

Why don't you jusst call them? By the looks of it, the majority of posts you have do nothing but slam these guys. As with most internet stories, I bet there is two sides to this. Why don't you take the mature route with this and try work it out offline instead of publicly making your cause?
If you;ve gone that route without any fix, I apologize.

Yeah this is a year in the making and if you or anyone else thinks there are two sides to the story feel free to purchase products from them im just trying to warn people so they dont make the same mistake i have exhausted every effort to handle this situation over the phone and by e mail privately with no luck!!!!!!!!

Feel your pain there Jason, something wacked with the alignment on that left panel. Surprised Corys boss thinks its typical. Do the guy a friendly and help him out, at least swap the left out, people reading this talk to others about this kind of stuff, horror stories are bad press. But for the record I got a set of thrashers on my 07 800 that fit pretty tight, look good and they work. If you take your time and massage those things you might be surprised, I know I was kinda bummed when I first started messin with them. I got some straps from a polaris dealer that fit just perfect for the lower front corners, took some patience and some careful trimming, just keep tinkering with that handle loop hole till a trim ring fits snug, put a good bead of rtv silicone behind it and your done. You never mentioned anything about your air box mounting, thats a bit of a treat. If anyone has good results with aftermarket airbox's that are designed to work for deep powder rather than a race application, Like to hear it.

Thank you for putting this very helpful insight here. The other thing is they were our first side panels and the person that we had make the mold for the panels wasn't the best body work guy ever so they may not be as perfect as they can possibly be, but they are light, they do look good, and I'll admit that they could fit better but we don't have the time to redo our entire mold over again. Since this mold was made we have hired an extremely talented body work and composites guy that has been doing an awesome job for us! All of the new products that we have came out with since the Rev have been fitting perfect or super close. If you want i added more pics of rev side panels that you can look at of ours. http://s408.photobucket.com/albums/pp167/CoryBRTech/Rev/

I don't understand the fact that if you sent them back why you didn't get a refund. That doesn't make sense. If you give me your info i will look into it. When did you make the purchase and when did you send them back? If you want to send it privately just pm me or my direct email is cory@brtechracing.com. As i've said before I am trying to straighten out the mistakes that have happened in the past. I realize that you are frustrated with your experience, and i will try and help fix that. Thanks...

Hey Jason,

I've tried emailing you back on your personal email a few times and it wasnt going through for some reason. After doing some major digging through files and records since your purchase was from the summer of 2007 we finally found it. And it looks like for some reason or another you weren't reimbursed by us. We greatly apologize for this and are not totally sure how it was not taken care of previously. We will be giving you your money back to you. If you could just get a hold of me with your personal info I'll be happy to get this rolling. I'm sorry again that you've had hard feelings about our company about this matter, but I hope that this maybe changed your feelings a little for the better. Once again my email is cory@brtechracing.com or you can just give me a call at 1-800-536-1841 to get this taken care of.

Thanks

Cory Steffen
