Except Havre is one of the leading Diesel Tech schools in the country. They also have great job placement, and with BN right in town, finding a job should not be a problem. Havre is only a couple hours away from Skyland for good riding.

If you are looking at Engineering. Go to Montana Tech. Great school, fun town, close to some great sledding. And you can play Rugby for MTech Crabs, not the Bozeman Trout.

You'd be WAY better off doing diesel tech in Missoula than Havre if you like to snowmobile. LOL

Missoula is good if you stay away from the hippie housing. .

Ditto what Scott said...Havre is ummm....not that appealing....and I am trying to be nice...

I think there are some community colleges that have some good programs for diesel stuff too...

Does Western have a program for Diesel?

If your looking for Rugby there's a mens team. I can't say there good but you'll still get to lay some poor sap out even if your losing! They are hosting the MRU (Montana Rugby Union) Championship May 3rd and 4th. Thats alway a good time. There is also Maggotfest in Missoula on the 26th and 27th of this month. Thats about the best rugby tournament you'll ever see!!! I don't know if they play 7's in the summer but fall legue starts back up in Aug.

havre's diesel program is top rated in the nation and is supported and recruited by cat, cummins and the 3 major construction companies and 5 major mines, oh' and the sleddin is good to, lincoln,kings hill, skyland all a couple hours away, and if you keep in touch you can catch a ride to any one of them any given weekend, bonus is there isn't any tree hugger birkenstock greenies like bozoland and mizzootown,

back to original question...bozeman is a great school, and great community, and if you are into outdoor recreation it is paradise...especially when compared to Havre....

Msu Grad

MSU Sweet school, in fact I went there for 5 and a half years is was so sweet. One of the reasons it took me that long to get a BA plus a minor was because of the endless amounts of extra curricular activities.

Bozeangeles, greatest little city in the west. Far better riding then in Missoula, def not quite the football (all though when I was there we were 3 for 5), way better fly-fishing, fantastic hunting, not even close to the amount of unshaven women and patulie oil then UM.
