Holy crap, that's sad. A true hot rod artist. I was wondering why I never saw him at Barret Jackson this year. Never heard a peep about him.

Hmm, that's a shame. I hadn't heard a word about him lately. Didn't he have some problems with the IRS and so on? There was a money issue a while back. Those things can't help your health, that's for sure.

I used to watch his hot-rod build-it TV show a couple years ago on Discovery channel (?).
I can't imagine trying to run a business when your crabby ex-wife is your book keeper, and your new "babe" wife is in the next office. Yikes.
Always seemed like a lot of tension in his shop, or maybe it was put on for TV.

Thats really a shame. I really liked that American Hot Rod TV show. Seemed that he had a high turn around in the shop, almost a revolving door in there. That's gotta be hard on the stress level always working short on staff. Especially when it seems all your best guys leave to go and work for your direct competition. Course your ex and your current all working under the same roof can't help either.

He is most definately an automotive icon. I know he has been active in alot of charitable events even up to current. It certainly was a surprise to me.

i saw the show & always thought it was fake. the stress was all brought on by themselves & he never seemed happy. i agree with the x & the gf working there, not a good idea. they did make some amazing vehicles though.
