Boxing vs. MMA

I watched "Jim the Duchbag Rome" the other day and he had a guest on that he asked more or less if Boxing or MMA would prevail in the long run. This anylast thought that MMA was a fad and that Boxing would still be on top.

MMA is here for good I say! Its badazz and these guys are starting to be more known as top level athletes and not just thugs.

Anyone see the Pros vs Joes where the Joes would win by having the least amount of tap outs in like a 5min round? Pretty funny how Couture made these guy look. They each had like 6 tap outs ,and this is with no punching just submissions.

funny, I was just thinking of this the other day. I was watching boxing and the guy accidentally hit with an elbow....he got stopped and warned and I'm thinking you gotta be kidding me...what a sissy sport now....

yup after watching mma, boxing is boring as chit. Dont get me wrong they have good skill and are tought SOBs but just not as fun or exciting as MMA

I used to be into boxing, still enjoy a good fight (rare). Too many bullshat clinching rounds for hopefully a couple good ones.

MMA has way more great fights, and the bullshat ones only last 3 rounds.

I watched "Jim the Duchbag Rome" the other day...

C'mon man, Rome rules! His radio show makes my day a lot better though his style takes some getting used to.

And until boxing can rid itself of the corruption within, whether its perceived or real, MMA will prevail. Let's just hope that match fixing and questionable judging doesn't start getting too prevalent in the UFC.

Too many questionable decisions in boxing anymore. I prefer MMA, but wish it was still the same as it was 10 years ago. No time limit, just fight until somebody taps out, or gets KTFO! Also, I enjoyed the no weight limit. The only rules were no eye gouging, and no biting. I still watch alot more UFC than boxing these days. JMO!

Boxing does have some questionable decisions but I do agree, MMA is a huge fad right now. Boxing has proven the test of time. They are both fun to watch, you really cannot compare them anymore than comparing football to basketball.
