BossNoss vs. Boondockers Liquid Nitrous... What's better ?

dockers fogs the air box and builds PSI in it , I dont like the thought of liquid in the air box or derectly in the carbs on a two stroke .

boss

i have never used boondocker but i have the boss kits on my 06 600rmk and 08 700 rmk and i love the kits easy to install and use, the boss kits have a seperate tank for 110 or higher foul so there is no mixin gas in your tank i would get boss the only bad parts is your face will get sore from the happy grin on your face from using it, this summer i am working on a turbo nos combo

I haven't ran the Boss kit so I can't say which is better. But I have ran the Holtzman PCT, Nitrous Express, and the Boondocker Synergy kit.

I had very inconsistent performance with everything except the Boondocker kit with the Synergy regulator. I have never had an issue with it, always there when I hit the button and always the same boost. I run it turned all the way up which is supposed to be a 50-60 shot.

I love it, always gets me where I want to go, and has bailed me out of a lot of bad spots.

Cheers,
Chris

Perk I am installing a used BD synergy system, is there anything I should replace or be worried that might be bad causing poor performance?

I had boss new system on my king cat. It was unbelievable how good it worked!! Like a 60 hp light switch. It just flat works !!

The main thing to consider with the 07 Poo is the CFI. I owuld be that most who have used the Boss have done so on a carb'd application. I have both, Boss was great on the carb's Doo and the BD works great on the 07 700. The BD on the 700 was only used a couple times (one tank) the we went boost on 800's and didn't let newby riders on the 700 loaner use the button.

If you were closer I'd make ya a hell of a deal with the you pull it off the sled option. Its a shame a nice juice system is sitting on a sled that will never be used. Maybe once I part my 08 Boosted buggy I'll go after the 07 and post back. Good luck. EW

hands down go with the new boss system. it works awesome. its incredibly consistent. it has a small 1 quart fuel bottle that mixes with the nitrous so you dont have to touch your fueling. This fuel bottle lasts a long time too. I have it on my EFI Nytro and didnt touch the fuel system its completely standalone. Also, bottle temperature is irrelevant with this system. unless you want to create a nightmare for yourself I would strongly urge you NOT to buy an older used nitrous system. been there done that.

You must be thinking of the old boss system. The new boss system works on EFI or carb because it uses its own fuel supply mixed with the nitrous and sprayed into each throttle body/carb with a fuel injector type device.

Make sure you check the nitrous filter on the inlet side of the solenoid. I would remove it and clean it. Make sure when you thread it back in that you do not over tighten it or it will bottom out in the solenoid and cause a restriction. If that happens you will see a clean circle in the bottom of the solenoid. You can grind a small portion off of the fitting (not on the filter portion) and reinsert the filter and you should be good to go. If you have any issues or concerns you can pick up a new filter for pretty cheap.

It is silly how good the new boss system works !! like a 60hp light switch. Install is super easy and clean.

is there much to tune a new boss system ? Iwant to put it on one of my 900 cats. I cant decide if it should go on the fuelie or the carb. I want to buy a refill station as well .

where do you live? i have a full size nitrous refueling station and its over half full of nitrous that i would sell. the bottle is about 5 feet tall. get this thing filled once and it will last you all season or more. I also have a 3 cylinder boss noss system that i would sell. its the new boss kit purchased last year. i also have 4 bottles for the sled, 3 are aluminum and one is a larger carbon fiber.

thats the beauty of the system you dont have to tune anything even on EFI. some sleds might need a slight clutching change to compensate for increased rpm's when you are on the NOS.
