BOSS seats Online Seat builder

The seat builder is up and running. I encourage all to check it out. You can customize your seat and see your design right in front of your eyes as you make it.

Sorry, but after the whole zipper episode on my last seat I wouldnt purchase another boss seat. Hope your quality has gotten back to where it was when I got my first seat. I still have one I cant give away.

X2. Last year was my 3rd Boss seat, and my last for quite a while. And it had 'improved' zippers over the 2010 model. I'm still limping with the zips jumping and falling apart, more careful than diaper changes on newborns. Burnt fingers. You got some proving to do, now. What a story on how to screw up a strong brand...

The whole deal with these seats as I understand is Boss wont allow the dealers to send the seats back for repair. Instead each owner has to sent their seat back. Kind if a pain in the but for me as I am in canada. Why cant you just set up a dealer warranty thing and alow us to just simply exchange our seats at the place we purchased them. I dont have to take my pickup back to GM for repair, Just back to my dealer.

Nope, someone brings up their issues and they have nothing to say, they sure didn't have any problem taking my money when i wanted to buy a new seat though. Sure didn't have any problem sending me a new seat cover at my expense to put on at my expense either because their joke of a product fell apart, then their awesome all issues resolved fix was just as bad. Great way to do business, F$%# the customer. Its the newest economic strategy.

BOSS Seat Issues

First off, I am sorry that I don't live on the forums. We are trying our best to make sure to keep up with the forums and the issues being expressed. We are well aware that we have had two sequential bad years, and the products that we have sent out have not been up to our standards, for this we will apologize once again.
As far as a warranty is concerned you still need to send your seat directly to us. I apologize for any inconvenience but this is the way that we do it for many reasons, the main one being that it is not the dealers problem when there is an issue with the seat, hence they should not have to handle it. We do appreciate everyone's business and our not out to "Screw" anyone. Please if you have questions or concerns contact us directly. We will be more than happy to help you.
We understand that some of you feel burned and respect that. We hope that you will give us another chance to supply you with the best seat in the world. Check out the new seats, and you will see that our quality is better. We have gone back to the way we used to do it, all seats are custom built and made right here in the U.S.A.
Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you all out on the hill!!!

boss, if they have to send it back to you for warranty you should be picking up the tab for freight. im sure you have an account with ups or fedex. i'm a mfg rep in the hvac business and anytime one of my mfg's screws something up and we have to send it back they give me thier account number with a freight carrier, usually ups.

I had a boss seat on my xp a couple years ago and paid something like $300. There is no way I could spend over $500 to get one for my new pro. That seat better massage my a$$ amongst other things for $500. LOL

i almost got one this year than saw you can get wrp seat running boards underseat bag and vent for 595 shipped...... also after seeing what is in the seats them self 500 for one is way out of line ....300 maybe

Customer satisfaction is the best marketing. I hope you guys get things resolved. I'm always pulling for the snowmobile accessories guys. I also hope that you have a ton more sales so that your prices might reflect a larger volume in the future.

Where is the link to Boss? (yes I can google, but it would be appropriate to have a link here).

Who's the BOSS now??

Latest American business strategy.....take a well established brand and screw it up.....did a bus load of management rejects show up at your door the day you were hiring or what?

Do this and you might see some of my return business. Until then you wont see another cent of mine or any of my buddies if I can help it.I will never refer boss to anyone I see on the hill( I ride alot and see alot of other machines) AND THE INTERNET IS A WONDERFULL WAY TO EXPRESS MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PRODUCT.

all i can say is my old boss yamaha apex seat was a very good product, lasted forever, great zippers, and never had any issues...the "modern" ones...ummmmm not so much

I bought a BOSS for my Edge in 2009 based on its prior years reputation. We all now know the 09 and 10 seats basically sucked. I had one zipper fail, but what pissed me off was while the seat/sled was stored in my garage all summer the gray seat fabric turned purple....yes, purple. BOSS sent me a new cover (I had to pay $30 for it), and I installed it myself.

The only thing I liked about the seat was its increased ride height. The foam composition was horribly hard. In zero temps or colder, hard as the proverbial rock. I have hemorroids to prove it.

BOSS should have stepped up and made things right for those that had /have 09 and 10 seats, but they have not in my book.

So, I sold the sled and seat, cut my losses and chalked it up to a purchase of a poor product.

Their new "manufacturing standards" be damned, I certainly won't ever buy another one and won't recommend it to any of my friends, either.

There's better ones out there. That, and the Mfgs are building much better seats. The one on my new Doo is light years more comfortable than the BOSS on my Edge was.

well look's like this is the problem....... "boss" starts a thread about the boss seat. people have concerns about it cause of previous seats purchased, and "boss" has not wrote anything back since 12/9..........
when you charge almost 500 for a foam seat it better be made to highest quality, and as far as customer service i think this thread speaks for it self.
