Boss Noss anyone?

Had one on my Rev and had an issue with the 60hp shot hitting the limiter....worked great though. Dropped to 40hp shot and it worked better. You'll need a 5lb bottle without a doubt;)

Are you guys really only seeing a 300 rpm increase with a 60 hp shot? I was getting that and maybe more from my Boondocker kit with a 35 hp nozzle.

Buddy of mine had the Boss Noss system on an M8. He ran the 60hp shot. It was NOT impressive at all.IMHO sometimes you couldn't even feel it was working. The very fact that people are only seeing a 200-300rpm rise plays to the fact its not making much power.
Your money will be just as well spent on a sweat graphics package, it'll give just about as much HP.

That's kind of why i'm still skeptical and asking questions on this, because with a 60 shot, I would expect a little more of an increase in rpm's if your clutching was good. Maybe, i'll just save some money and buy a power addiction head.

A 60 shot should be a very noticeable kick in the pants. Seems to me that you may be over fueling it when on the button?

I had the old Boss Nos on an M7 and couldn't really feel it kick.....the new system on my Rev worked great. I wouldn't say it was 40 or 60hp but it was enough to get me over things that I couldn't make. I would say more like taking a 150hp sled and giving it a 25 hp boost but for the price I'm ok with it.

In my opinion that is the issue with the new boss kit's. I bought into it due to its simpliticy, but feel that the fuel metering through the NPFI's must be overly rich, as my kit did not perform like I envisioned a 60 hp shot would. There were times where it made a noticeable difference, but not 60 HP worth, and there were other times where you literally could not feel the "hit" at all. This was on a 2008 M8.

I am trying to think of ways to get some more hp out of my future pro without voiding warranty. Is anyone using the Boss Noss nitrous kit? Or, is anyone planning to use it? The way I see it, you could use this kit and if you had to take your sled in for warranty work, you could just remove it and replace your air box so the technician couldn't tell anything was installed. I know this is wrong:nono:, but it is possible, i think. This kit does not hook up to your ECU at all. With the race fuel injected with the nitrous, this kit should be very safe. From what I've read on the other forums, it works really well. I'm not planning on going through a 5lb bottle of nitrous everyday, just when I need that extra uummff to get up to where i want to go.

YA thats a great idea, and while your at it maybe you can rent your wife out on weekends for some extra play so you can afford more nos.
Are you kidding me, its guys like you that screw it up for everybody. Ever wonder why sleds cost so much or why ist so hard to get good warranty work done. How about you just try being honest and pay to play rather than try to figure out how to cheat the system that everyone pays for in the end. What a lowlife!!

I personally cant imagine ever hitting a 60 hp shot in tight technical stuff andf trees like you describe as your normal riding conditions.

I don't need to rent my wife out, Your wife pays me really GOOD for services she receives from me!!!

Sledwolf, Why do you have to get personal on here? You want to get personal, meet me sometime, just follow your wife sometime when she says she's going to the store.

Hey CB2Honk, the best setup for that sled would be to take it to the nearest junk yard, pay them a couple hundred to take it off your hands then go pick up a cat :) j/k

P.S. I might have skippy and LOEDOE talked into a wyoming trip this year!
