really tight around the tank area. any install tips or just stop being a candy *** and apply some muscle?

They can be a *****! Get someone to jump up and down on it, maybe get it warm so the material stretches better? Put electrical tape on the tunnel and push the snap to put an impression in the tape to drill the snap.

Did two of them apply the muscle. I have one for sale in about a month. Great shape if anyone wants to make an offer!!!

can't say that i used any of those methods ^, but yes it is very tight. i thought that the buttons on the front would tear from being so tight, but they haven't yet...

install is complete. actually ended up lying over the seat to do the snaps. the tight fit seems to be from the tank hoses not quite having enough of a cutout on the bottom. The velcro seems rock solid.

considering i am dangerous with tools, a couple of things I'm not satisfied with are 1.) I couldnt get the snaps tightly riveted to the tunnel. There is a little play in each snap......hope it all holds and 2.) i could not stretch the seat material far enough around the neck of the fuel tank without a crease to get the molding and fuel tank nut all the way back down perfectly flush.....its not even noticeable. 3.) i just left rear light wire in the stock seat. The boss direction say "retrieve the stock wire". Without some surgery on the seat, it does not want to be retrieved.

tomorrow is the big test. Thanks for all the input guys. I appeciate the guidance.

My rivit gun did the same thing. I found a small washer that would fit inside the snap and used that as a spacer so the rivit gun tip would seat on the rivit. What happens is the rivit gun tip sits on top of the snap instead of the rivit itself and pops the rivit before the snap was fully seated.
Drill the top off one of your loose rivits and use that for the washer. Slip it over the rivit stud between your snap and the gun.

yes

the hole that goes around the gas tank nozzle isnt bigenough,. just cut it a little bigger slide it over and your ready to roll,............ also yes u haveto do surgery on the summit seat to get the wire out ..................all n all it works out
