Boss Industries

Good to know I was going to order one this year, quality and customer service aside, just knowing that they are made in China is reason enough for me not to by one. I would rather pay extra $ than see jobs leaving the U.S. or Canada. Plus they probably use some sort of lead in there somewhere.

WRP is 100% made in the US and cost less than a boss for better quality and service.

Good call !!!:beer;

aside from lousy quality, and lousy customer service, those are the ugliest seats i've seen on a sled....not sure why anyone would want to defile such a nice looking machine with one of those abortions....

I also had a bad experience with BOSS customer service. The seat I ordered for my XP had the snaps placed incorrectly. The rivets that hold the snaps on would have rubbed the gas tank. BOSS admitted the snaps were in the wrong spot, so I sent it back to BOSS. I never thought about shipping, just sent it back. When I called to check on the status, they said it was done, and all they needed was a credit card number to send it back.

Yes, they wanted me to pay for shipping both ways to fix a manufacturing defect. Yes that is their policy that customer pays shipping both directions for warranty work. Snaps in the wrong place is not what I consider warranty work.

Ive got to wonder who in 2010 would think their cheap hokey mounting setup would be adequate, theyre stuck in the 1990's. Ive seen better designed strap ons at an adult toy store.

Ha, Ha!
I can't figure you guys out who are buying these p.o.s. seats. Most newer mt. sleds have great seats and there is no need for these chitty companies that, even in their best days, did not have a $500 product.
btw, you should not be sitting down anyway, hell I will sell you a pitch fork that properly mounts to the tunnel for $400 and that will help you stand :eek:

PAR... thats sweet especialy now that all seats are exactly the same, no more custom stuff. yours looks just like mine, mine looks just like yours:mad:
How long til some one else makes a seat that is good looking and functional. not like a covered square foam pad. boss definatly has a monoply in the crappy custom seat department.

bwa ha ha ha ha!

boss definitely has a monopoly in the custom seat department.

You got that right, just ask any of the big manufacturers that have produced anything similar to their seats. Boss does not make money by selling products, they make their money by suing anyone who produces anything remotely close to thiers. They are a fricken leach on society......did someone mention pitchforks? Mount up boys, LETS GET EM!!

I agree with the comments on the Boss seats. They don't look like they are the best quality but I bought one anyway. Know why? Because they at least offer some storage. I am tired of carrying my water bottles or candy bars/food and survival kit in my backpack. I just want to carry shovel and probe in there. I do not want a tunnel bag for just some small stuff. I agree with the everyone on the comments about the other seats available they do look nice but they have no flippin storage. If I was going to make a seat for the XP what would be my first no brainer to come up with. Ummm maybe a few pockets for some storage. Obviously the seating position is not too important to me since I'm riding a Summit and very seldom sit except for the trail ride back to town. So if any seat manufacturer is reading this if you add some storage to your seats next year I will definately take a look at yours if my Boss seat is shot. Thanks, IP

Here is my WRP seat. Good quality and excellent customer service. I will see Marc on Saturday and mention the storage issue to him.
