Why do you have to go to the bar? Just bring your own beer and let him drink away in the cabin. My nephew has a few beers in the cabin with us and he just turned 18.
i have been carded everytime while at the Red Fox, and i'm 33 and certainly don't have a baby face. They even ask for my 62 year old fathers I.D. I wish you luck tho, we may have just had a stickler of a bartender.
