Boots

I love my Klim jacket and pants, but their boots are heavy, first few years were leaker's, and they don't seem to last long (like their gloves).

I never noticed that the boots were heavy. Mine have also been very durable. I've had two pair in the last six seasons and I typically ride 30+ days a winter. My soles did tear up on my first pair but I had the crappy Dragon running boards that tore up boots. Now that everyone has decent running boards, I don't have that problem anymore.

I haven't tried all the other boots and that's because my Klim boots have been perfect. I'm a guy that has to have comfortable shoes. I can't buy cheap shoes. The Klim Adrenaline boots keep me dry, comfortable and warm. Perfect!

see the pattern the flat lander riders love the klim, skinny as a work boot. they will sink walking in 5 foot of powder to your waist . I believe the HMK is different than gortex now that its mentioned. they are feather light and bone to the core dry after two seasons on them, I have both boots and only wear the Klim on totally set up days.

adrenalins for me I like the narrower feel compared to the other boots I've worn. I've never rode with them in that real Montana snow though .:face-icon-small-win

Have had good luck with Klim's boots always dry. Running boards chewed the bottom right off in two seasons.

Boots and gloves are the red headed step child in backcountry riding. 2 years on soles is good Imo. Hmk's I dropped $380 on 2 years ago made it 20 rides before they had holes in them.

So, just like sleds there is no perfect product for everyone.

They all work well, they all fall apart, they all stay dry, they all get wet.... This is why it's great to have more manufacturers giving more choices, there is no single one best!

Well said MorSno! Although, we can usually at least narrow it down to 1-3 choices versus thirty with a few questions. First, is a removable liner a necessity for you? Would you rather have BOA or Laces? And what is your price point SledderX?

As mentioned above there really are 4 premium boot players in the game right now. Klim, FXR, MotorFist, and HMK. All are actually relatively similar in design at the top end of the market, but they all have their claim to fame as well. Waterproofing, gaiter connections, lace systems, and overall size are the most common differences.

To answer your initial question though, if you want "Snowboard" style boots, there are only a couple options. Klim Radium GTX, HMK Team Focus, and FXR Tactic. We have worn all three here and would be willing to answer any specifics you might have. Feel free to send us a PM, Email or Call for questions as always.

My boots high the highmark every ride,,, Lol

Another vote for the klim adrenaline gtx...feet never get cold; have had them 6/7 seasons; traction is pretty much worn off thus will be replacing them this season with the same boot.

And I really don't get how there is a boot that will keep you on top of the snow in deep pow unless wearing a snow shoe.

I like my Klim Artic GTX boots..sometimes they are a little too warm for me but they are definitely waterproof and comfy. have held up so far ( one season im a noob ). I'm a little stuck wearing size 14.. Klim and Motorfist have 14's.. not sure any of the others do so I ended up with Klim. Though those stomper 2.0's might be my next boot.

I run the klim adrenaline for boots and Kinco KW1927 for gloves. I wax the gloves and have multiple sets. at $10 a pair from the farm and feed stores they can't be beat. The expensive gloves keep my hands cold from perspiration. I have to have breathable boots and gloves and these fit the bill for me.

Motorfist

I've had my MotorFist Stomper boots for a couple seasons now, and they work amazingly. Nothing ruins a day of snowmobiling like having cold wet feet. Not only are these boots warm and waterproof, they are also very durable. I am going to continue buying Motorfist boots in the future, and I think that they are worth every penny.

Looked at the fxr line up today pretty impressed how far there gear has come and there boots looked good

I have the fxr snowboard looking boots they are very light and very warm but a little bulky. I keep getting my foot caught in the footwell on my X I think I'm going to try the fxr team boot this year.Klim makes a very good boot (probably the best) but I'm not falling into the groove with all the rest of the Klim minions. I've never had cold feet because I don't stand around I'm out there to ride.
