Boondockers turbo?

I have read all of the posts concerning boondockers poor customer support and ability to get its products to customers but how are there turbo systems. Specifically the pumpgas turbo for the M1000. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Chip

I don't have first hand experience with the BD pump gas turbo, but the Race Gas BD is UNREAL. i'd imagine the PG to just be a bit more turbo novice friendly. BTW, I've had no issues with their service......

BD's service is good. They just got caught between a rock and a hard place this year with the availability of the EBC. Call Justin at Code Red Performance. He always answered my emails and phone calls...even at 10:00 on Sunday. A+ for Justin. Ran my M8 RG yesterday for the first time...flawless.

You need to get the opinions of people that have ran or rode more than one kind of turbo kit. If a BD kit is all they have ran they have nothing to compare it to.

BD's customer service is fine, they will talk you through and or fix problems without fail, parts may not show up when they say, but I think they are past that. I am not sure I am totally sold on the EBC thing as my EBC is back in the shop for failing to work, but again, they seem to be sorting that out too. The Turbo system itself works great, no issues and as reliable as one could hope for, I am a bit concerned about the new solid mounting system as opposed to the old one, seems like the new one would be prone to vibration crackage, but again time will tell, no issues so far.

The EBC makes a little more sense on the RG M-Series kits. The gains with the EBC are huge there, not so much on the pump gas setup. Also remember that this is the first season for the EBC. The EBC has the memory and capability to do a lot more than it is currently doing. I'm sure there will be many EBC upgrades in the coming years. As far as customer service, they had some unanticipated delays this year, and I'm not sure they were handled as well as they could have been. The management and ownership at Boondocker realizes where the mistakes were made but it's a little late to fix them now. As far as customer support after the sale, Jared, Diann, Kyle and Junior have been great for me and everyone I've talked to.

I was also worried about the solid mount but so far I have close to 1000 miles on mine with zero issues.

Three of my buddies have been riding Boondocker race/pump gas m8's and m1000's. I ride a D&D 1200 and like it a lot. This year at Hay Days, 2 of them switched to the Push Turbo kit with each one installing a race/pump m8 kit. I have seen and they tell me there is a large difference in the kits. The owner has been very helpful and now I can not keep with them. Never the less, I have finally broken down and decided to go the race gas m1000 kit. Do your research and find the kit that best fits your style of riding. But I would recommend you look into the Push Kit. I believe it's the best kit for the buck with an owner standing behind it with full warranty.

I have run boondocker, and now I have twisted, I will never ever have another boondocker, ever!! Poor customer service, system leaked boost, controller sucked. But if you are set on boondocker call Justin at code red, his service is second to none, answered my call any time of day or night. I was in the same position as you last year, and I wish I would have listened to the guys that told me not to go with boondocker, but I learned the hard way.
