Hey guys I am thinking about putting a turbo pipe on my 2010 m8 bd pg turbo! What kind of results have you guys seen when installing them! Is one the best? I know bd and i beleive sw make one, is there anyone else? Is there anyone who wouldnt do it again? I would love your guys input! Im hoping to get a little more power and hopefully shed some pounds but if it dont help enough to notice I think ill put the money somewhere else!

Thank you in advance!

I have read a few of your posts regarding your sled you acquired. If I recall, it's a 2010/11 m8 built by VOHK. Woog is an amazing rider and turbo installer/tuner. I've asked a lot o these same questions that you have directly to Erik.
Now don't get me wrong, I am in no way trying to bad mouth you or even project that I know everything because I absolutely do not.

What I do want to say though is from reading your posts I don't think you have even rode the sled you have purchased yet (correct me if I'm wrong).
Having had Erik build my sled I can tell you he has it set where he feels it will be a reliable pull and go machine considering the nature of what you have had installed. My advice to you is to hang on, let it snow , take it out and ride it. You may be pleasantly surprised at what a well built turbo'd sled can do as it sits right now.
Mine is bone stock aside from the turbo. I only run about 7.5 psi at 9500 ft. It's reliable, it's powerful, and its the best mod I have EVER done.

Hope I didn't offend you, Just my .02, enjoy you're new machine!

No offense taken your def right! I plan to do exactly what your saying and thats why i have not touched anything on it and will not until after Ive rode it! Just trying to get some outside input on my different options I guess just to feed my need of desperation for snowmobile season to be here lol

Why bother, convert to a rg kit way more bang for youre buck. Rember the pre-turbo days pipes ushally caused more hasels than anything a four injector kit is day in day out performance and reliability.

If ya want more power there is a small knob under your hood. Turn to the right and your power will increase. Turn to the left and your power will decrease. Save your money.

NO.........You allready have a BD Turbo Pipe

Straight from BD, on a 2010-2011 all you are paying for is the cerimic coating, quick coupling. They start with a stock 2010-2011 pipe and coat it. The pipe was really geared towards someone doing a intall with no welding expirence/equipment.

Oh and a little friendly advice, Vohk as it turns out, is not the end all be all of turbo sleds. In time I had to learn that the hard way.

Well lets hear what your talking about. Ive yet to hear anything bad about volk.Im pretty aware that there is alot of other people out there that can build great turbos but I do know ive seen alot of erics kits and they have all been pull and go!

At this point the reason for changing to a true "turbo" pipe would be to keep from splitting the factory pipe seams. The BD turbo pipe may be thicker wall. But I am not to sure saving weight in this area is a great idea. You don't have many options for lighter than factory materials. and you really need the strenght to handle the boost pressure. Now maybe it isn't as big of an issue at 4-5 psi, but get to 10 up and it is more of a problem.

Anyone know what gauge material the turbo pipes are made out of. Id like to build one this year.
