So i was hillclimbing today on my 2008 Polaris Dragon 800 Turbo, when I heard a Very loud pop...
I immediately lost power and down the sled went... after getting the sled on its skis i found that the pipe going into the turbo had completely severed and blew off at the weld. Any idea what would cause such a thing? Boondocker Turbo with Full Intercooler. running 12#'s of boost 80% 100ll and 20% VP 110 at 6500 feet and 27 degrees. Firm snow. I'm at a wits end as to what would have caused this... High EGT's? too much boost? ?????? I have 18 rides on this sled and ridden these conditions prior without this issue, but i do jump a lot in powder and firm packed snow. Please any input is valuable!
