I have a 09 M1000 with the following mods:

Speedwerx Y pipe
Speedwerx pipe
MBRP can
BDX air intake
I also have an AEM A/F guage

My riding elevation is:
Parking usually between 2000-3000 feet and main riding through out the day is between 5000-6500 feet, with the occasional 7000feet riding

If anyone has a similar set up that could give me some box numbers that would be great. I will also be tuning with the A/F guage and plug colors.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe I should be in the 12-12.5 range at WOT on my A/F guage, at least this is what I have found on my searches on here.
Also what is the RPM's this set up should be running to get peak horsepower and tourqe? Any clutching tips would also be appreciated. Thanks again

nearly identical setup as yours'.....i ride 6500-11k.....3k -1,0,0; 5k -3,-3,-2; 65k -1,-2,0; 72k 0,3,10; 75k 0,4,10; 78k 0,4,10...i use egts and these numbers are still rich on top by a couple of numbers, but the mid-range should be pretty close...at your parking lot, you may need more fuel, but probably not too much..

Thank's slyrydr,

I was hoping you would respond, since I have read on here that you had close to the same setup as mine.

Yeah the only box numbers I have so far are what speedwerx has gave me, and I have not rode the sled yet this year so I have not been able to see if their numbers are close, but from what I have been reading from other riders experiences speedwerx's numbers are usually not close, but I will ride with them first and see what happens.
Thanks again

I am looking at a 2009 m1000 sno pro 162 myself. I have a line on a Speedwerx y pipe, MBRP can, and boondocker box. I am sure a pipe would help as well but I am curious what you guys think about running just that. I live in Calgary and ride Revy and Sicamous mainly, probably similar elevations to CatAttack. I am 240lbs and curious what else you guys would change in the gearing and clutch. I can also get an 09 m8 gearbox and it seems guys like that as well. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Hey Kelly

I went with 56/64 gearing, on my M1000 M8 gearing is 57/63 so there is not much difference, but I have heard guys having 55/65 and said the sled runs awsome with these gears. I was thinking I should have went a little more aggresive but I will run mine for this year and see what happens. For clutching I am not sure of yet, I will ride my stock clutching then see how clutch heat and back shifting is with this gearing.

Any idea what you are running for fuel rail pressure?

Thanks

Thunder

I told the dealership to check the fuel pressure, but I forgot to ask them what it was when I picked the sled up. I will call them tomorrow and find out, and will let you know.
