Boondocker Question on M1000

I recently purchased a BD fuel controller for an M1000. Am running twins and need to run at 8000 rpm. The fuel controller only shows maping to 7800 rpm. I raised the fuel at 7800 and it seems pretty good on top (8000) but I am wondering what really happens after you reach 7800 rpm. Sent a question to BD website but haven't received a reply to date. I notice that the M8 maps to 8000. Am wondering if I can get this one modified or does it work above 7800 rpm.

Hmm 8000 rpm sounds to high. I thing 7500 is a better area for the 1000. I run a M 1000 and single SLP pipe and I am sure my top end is around 7500. Got me thinking now, when I get back to the house I will take it for a rip and pay closer attention to the top end.

I'm pretty sure the BD will keep adding the same amount of fuel after the highest rpm setting. So if your at +10 on your box at 7800 it will keep adding that amount after 7800.

It is correct that the fuel added at the highest rpm setting (7800) will continue to be added at higher rpms. But 8000 rpms is kind of high for that engine.

The motor is ported and running twin Speedworx pipes with an Arctic Cat modified ignition. The ideal rpm is 8000 with these mods. I changed the head from the original that was set for the ignition (14.1) to stock compression and it now needs a fuel controller. Thus the question. It still wants to run at 8000, but I am nervous about the fuel controller since it is only adjustable to 7800. Hope the comment about it maintaining the 7800 setting above that is correct. I have a call into Boondocker but no answer yet.
