boondocker pg falling on face

2009 m8 pumpgas sometimes falls on face when you pin it. I think it may be the knock sensor but usually no code comes up. Been running 94 oct with a gallon of race at 6lb boost at 5-6500 ft. Anyone heard of a sensitive knock sensor. Maybe it is something else any suggestions.

well at 6 psi you dont need to run race gas at that elevation so your just wasting it rite now. yes the det sensors can screw up, but explain your problem more. give a much details as to when the problem happens and what exactly the sled does.

Sometimes when you get on the throttle on boost it falls on it's face almost sends you over the bars. It will run great most day,s but sometimes does this. Once when it did this the knock senser went off but most of the times it shows no codes.

I want to help you but " falls on it face" isn't really a description. is the sled loading up really bad, getting a lean bog, does it seem like the sleds ecu is going into a limp mode and limiting your rpm, ect.... does it happen while crusing then stabbing the throttle, does it happen coming from a stop, or going from on and off and back on the throttle. the list can go on and on. but getting your fuel numbers will be a good start, I've had belt deflection give me a problem like this before. so you see lots of different things could be happening.

if you can answer a few of these more people will be able to give you some idea's and help you out.

mine does this a bit running 6.7 lbs boost when I am blipping the throttle and then pinning it...just a short bog that clears out almost quickly. Can't tell if it is rich or lean.

Talked to Justin at code red. He's said to check the PSIL lo setting. His guess was I should lean it out 2 steps at a time. But, He also said try richening it first and if it gets worse lean it out.

All thats listed above of course as obvious things. Then check the connection from the BD box to the harness. If its slightly loose, it will act exactly like that. Usually though, they will eventualy quit running and you will find it. We zip tie them together.
