Boondocker Non-Intercooled Kit

I'm considering purchasing a turbo kit for my 2012 Pro with a C3 belt drive. I want a kit that runs 6lbs and on 100% pump gas... Not interested in running Av Gas, race gas or anything like that... Is anyone running this kit on strictly pump gas??? Can you give me your thoughts and experience with this kit...

Thanks,

Ditch

Riding elevation is 2500'-7000'. I just want to run 6 PSI and run straight pump gas. I have been doing lots of reading and it seems to point to the Boondocker Non-Intercooled kit. I think Silber is a really nice kit, but it says in the directions that you have to run some amount of race gas... Otherwise I'd be sold on a used kit....

Well personally I would not buy the older Silber kit but the 13-14 would be worth it. You would have to talk to Justin to make sure but I am almost sure that you could run pump gas at that set up..91 oct. But for the price of AV why not splash some in. BD has a Timing module for their kit which can be purchased separately and ran on any kit that progressively retards timing to make it safer. I do not have anything bad to say about the BD kit though. The new MTNTK Performance kit looks sweet as well.

What has you set on 6#? 6# with one kit might not be the same as 6 on another. Also running things like an intercooler, lower compression turbo specific head, and timing key might allow you to run more boost, or make more/ the same power at a lower boost number.

Whereabouts do you live? My recommendation for someone who doesn't know the ins and outs of it is to buy whatever kit you can get the best, preferably local, service. If you can get a professional install you will eliminate a lot of issues right off the bat. I you can be a wrench b!0ch for that install and learn what does what, why, and how your even better off. When running as much power out of these motors as we do things will break. It's nice to how to fix it or bandaid it to get home when it does.

Just my $0.02

As AKFullThrottle said, I think you can run pump fuel at 6 PSI with the Silber Kit depending on your elevation. Talk to Boston Racing, he has a lot of experience with different boost levels and fuel mixtures. For us AV fuel is only about $.80 more a gallon than premium fuel, so it's not too big of a deal to buy it. But I get that it is inconvenient.

Pm'ed Boston Racing; definitely want to hear his feedback a well. Definitely open to Silber or Boondocker, depending on fuel requirements. I only want to run 6PSI because that is the line for max PSI with pump gas is it not?? Maybe I'm confused but it states race gas for any application for the Silber Kit in the instructions... Maybe this is just unclear and can run pump gas??? I like the Boondocker box as compared to the Dobeck box and am comfortable with the Boondocker box. If I could pick up a good used Silber Kit, I'd probably pair it up with a Vipec for a pull and go kit.....
Also, I'd put in the RK Tek turbo domes as well; I already have the head!!

Most Race gas Kits will run low enough boost to just run pump gas. Speaking from experience you won't be happy with pump gas for long you will be looking for more! Just get the race gas kit and run what ever fuel you can for the day, enjoy the boost!
