Boondocker M8 PG intercooler

With my 11 I run straight 91 at 9000 and up and can run 10-14 psi no problems. 6000 - 9000 or so I run 50/50 and can run 14 psi and no problem. I stay at 10 psi cause 14 is a little much for me so I run 80% 91 but NO deto problems and is very crisp.

Opel, what setup are you running? Boondocker etc...pg.....intercooler? 2011 head or the older head? Thanks

Its is the newer Boondocker kit, intercooler/fan,PG upgraded to RG,EBC,ADA,stock 11 HO head,Boondocker pipe. The new system flows better than the old. Really nice to have the EBC compensate for altitude and keep the same power level. It is advertised in the classifieds with pics so you can see the setup.

Dogmeat, that's my plan. To put 75% 91 and 25% 112, should be 96.25 octane. ALL my riding is above 9000ft. I hope that should do it for 8 pounds.

If you're only running 8 lbs don't waste your $$$ on racegas. Should just put the timing control module on and turn it up to 9-10lbs and run straight 91. Got about 900 miles on this year 7000'-11000' usually running 9-10lbs. Haven't spent a dime on racegas and the sled hasn't missed a beat.

2010 M8 BDPG running the '10 head.

You won't be disappointed with the intercooler until you ride a sled with a cold air intake, so try not to ride one with the cold air intake.

Thanks! How important is the timing module? I have read post where people stopped using it. Is the timing module for knocking?

The timing module makes it so timing remains unchanged at low rpms and timing retards progressively as rpm’s rise towards max rpm. By retarding ignition timing the timing module is able to effectively reduce the chance of detonation so the engine can run more boost, compression or at a lower elevation on the same or lower octane fuel.
