I just bought an 08 700 RMK that came with the Boondocker control box.
It has SLP pipe and SLP air box mod. but i'm reading a lot of posts here about the PCV. Is there much difference betwene the 2?

With the Boondocker, you can only adjust for (3 positions/areas) low, medium, and high areas of operation/R.P.M.
With the PC-3/or PC-5, you can adjust every 250 R.P.M. increments, PLUS approx 7 or 8 throttle positions, 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%.
Plus, with the PC-3 or PC-5, Both DYNOTECH Jim (www.dynotechresearch.com) and SLP have maps already made for a bunch of different combos to get you dialed in more quickly to where it's pretty much "PLUG & PLAY"
With the Boondockers, I don't know if they have any maps readily available???
I currently have the PC-3 with DYNOTECH Jim's map on my 2007 DRAGON 700 and love it.
In summary, as long as the Boondockers is working for your combo, I'd lean towards leaving it alone, if you're going to change mods, I'd upgrade then.
Who knows, by next fall, they might have a PC-6 or 7 with "traction control" and "timing control", at a reasonable price level (similar to the $3100.00 MOTEC and VIPAC units) available at the rate that technology is progressing
