This sled was in the Arctic Cat booth a Haydays, and will be on display at the Boise show this weekend.

The 2010 Boondocker Turbo kits are loaded with new features;

New electronic boost controller, precisely controls boost , and is packed with features like auto altitude compensation, push to pass, and more.

New no spill oil tank, does not leak, or drain back to the turbo at any angle, even upside down.

New convenient turbo oil dipstick, and filler tube.

New exhaust springs, these four light weight springs do the job of nine.

New BoonDocker 400+ HP in-tank fuel pump.

New easy install air box, installs without removing throttle bodys, retains the factory oil injection, and intakes air from the top keeping the charge tube short and compact.

Looks like Fun!:D

Are you going to be at the SLC snow show?

Will you have a mini-intercooler available? Your sales guy told me no, that it wouldn't fit the 1000. I can't understand how it would fit the 800 and not the 1000. Then again he also told me that you were still using an aux fuel pump and not an in-tank.

Do your race kits come with the new electronic boost control? I assumed they did, but your sales guy said no. How do you do your duel injectors? Are they in the air box or throttle bodies? What is your opinion of running the race kit with the mini-intercooler, instead of the full size intercooler?

How much does this cost?

Do you really sell kits for thousands of dollars and put hose clamps on the charge tube? You might want to look at what is in those pictures before you post on the internet. Wow....... real clamps are around 3 bucks each.

And what is with the charge tube ? Do you think charge temps are important ? Why on earth would you shape the tube to be that close to the pipe. It is what 1000 - 1200 degree's at the y pipe?

Some of the things you guys at Boondockers do make me scratch my head.

I think i need to start a new company and sell sled parts , if you guys are getting rich selling stuff like this. You might want to spend less time on gay stickers and more time on not looking stupid.

Skinner,
Yes we will be at the SLC show. Hope to see you there.

Big Air,
Yes there will be a mini intercooler for the M-1000, and it will be bigger than last year’s M8 mini intercooler.

The pump gas M-1000 kit does come with the electronic boost controller. It does not come standard in the race gas kit, but if you purchase an electronic boost controller with the turbo kit you get $100 off.

The fuel system upgrade for the pump gas M-1000 will have a secondary injector in the charge tube. The secondary injectors for the race gas turbos are in the air box.

I think the mini intercoolers are awesome for your typical mountain sled, but if you really want to get the most out of a huge HP 1000 you will want the full size intercooler.

Dano,
Thanks for the encouragement.:)
God Bless

Thanks,
Junior

Some better clamps and a heat shield might be in order before you start shipping, both easy fixes. As for the stickers, I personally like them!!

One quick question: What (if anything) do you lose with the tight bends on the charge tube??

the kit looks nice but i agree about the clamps and the charge pipe.. there is a way to leave the pipe. you could get ahold of levi at turbo performance and get a turbo sock for the charger. and he can build a blanket for the ex pipe. these blankets are the real deal. i run them on my sled pulling truck and i gained 9 lbs of boost with my truck and they also eliminate a lot of underhood temps by holding the heat in the pipe and charger, wich in turn gets you lower intake charge temps quicker spool up. i'm sold on them in my pulling truck and my stock 6.7. call him or check out his site at here

Every Boondocker turbo kit is engineered and test proven to provide the upmost in performance and reliability.

The clamps are light weight inexpensive, and more than adequate for the job. Boondocker roles the ends of all their charge tube connections (see picture below), and they never blow off.

As far as heat this charge tube design has been tested extensively, and does not transfer extra heat from the pipe.

The mandrel bends in all properly designed charge tubes like the one in this kit have no negative effect on, air velocity, or engine performance.

Thanks,
Junior

Excellent job from Boondockers once again. The best part of owning and riding one of there kits is it actually works and you don't continuously have to adjust the programmer to compensate for altitude and temperature. I have found there customer service to be the best in the industry. I have owned three turbo sleds and ridden several others from various manufacturers, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for boost. I purchased one of there pump gas M8 kits in February last year and put 600 trouble free miles on the seld in 6 weeks. Can't wait to ride one of there 1000's.

What kits do you support? I cant quite tell yet.:confused:

Interesting to say the least. The clamp debate anyway. Absolutely nothing wrong with those clamps. I have used the very same style on engines producing way more HP than that sled will ever produce. Oh well. I guess it keeps the post count up. LOL I am feeding into it.

BTW. Great looking kit. It is going to be a great Winter for turbo sleds, that's for sure.

my thoughts::cool:

the good:
- the new smaller oil res looks nice and the dipstick is a huge bonus:beer;
- the reducer hose on the intake is cool....as a larger one would hit the belly pan and rub a hole in the prefilter
- nice can on the exhaust, and springs cut down maintenance time:beer;
- to answer CCpowders question---with these sled applications, these hard bends (> or=45 degrees) will only see a very very minimal lose....id guess .5% lose at the most, thats not a big deal at all:beer;
- the side hood sticker is very nice, looks clean:beer;

the bad:
- i would have a heat sheild inbetween the exhasut and intake
- what holds the turbo to the oil pump?...or is the exhaust to the tunnel the only support?.....not that thats a bad thing, but im sure how you got the turbo oil return to not leak with waht i see in the picture

dano, your jack@ss, theres something called constructive criticism... look into it before you run your mouth on here again

So i went through my post line by line . And i guess the last line might be a bit harsh. But i have always hated stickers .

My comments were not crazy , i did not insult anyone . Run my mouth ?

Why is it the BoonDockers fans get so but hurt all of the time . Radski's wife left me a nice post on my profile page . The whole drama thing with turbo brands is lame. I could care less if Shain sells less or more stuff . All of the stuff i said about him was because my 8 ran really good every day.

I am building my own M1000 kit this year and i am sure he will help me and sell me parts .

I just thought the clamps looked VERY cheap for a very expensive kit. And how does the y pipe not transfer heat to an aluminum charge tube?

You guys are quite sensitive . :eek:

Gimme Gimme Gimme, I want one! Boondockers has ALWAYS treated me right! Their engineering is solid, and they always stand behind their products - even the used stuff! I will definately buy my next turbo from Boondockers! Jared, Pete - Thanks for everything!!

Steven

......... The whole drama thing with turbo brands is lame........

Yeah, WTF? I have had my *** raped posting simple questions about turbos before. Some people really need to get a life, a job, a girlfriend, or all 3......

Its ok to have a different opinion people, lets not all start stabbing each other here over some parts............
