Bombardier Oil and Antifreeze$$$$$$$$

Since this is my first season on a "Hawk",
I would like to know if it is neccessary to use Bombardier Oil
and Bombardier Antifreeze?, getting ready to change the rings
on my 04 600 with Predatorr03.
If there is a good substitute or substitutes
that has been tested and true I would like to know.
Bombardier Oil and Anti F is really expensive, is it worth it?

I would say no for sure. We use KLOTZ oil and just regular old antifreeze with no problems. It is all about your preference mostly.

J&L is right on the money. No need to follow the recommendations in the service manual, The Hawk service manual's are direct copys from the skidoo service manual for skidoo model's with the same engine. Thats why you see the bombi oil recommendations.

If you want to spend big bucks on Antifreeze get a Hi-performance one like Engine Ice (available through Parts Canada Catalog). That's a good way to prevent a common Hawk problem : overheating.

I run Amsoil Dominator 40:1. Tried 50:1 first but motor seem to run stronger with 40:1, might justr be an impression...
