Bolt on power suggestions?

Love my Axys and wanna bump the power a bit. What are people doing? Not ready for a turbo or big bore right now. Sled will be tuned and tested on a dyno. I take 3 trips west, but ride sea level the rest of the time. I have a dyno port pipe and silencer on the way. Was tossing around the idea of a head.

Try it with the pipe/tune. I did a BMP pipe/PCV late last year, noticeable improvement. Definitely not "turbo-like" but for sure better than stock...

Clutch kit man. I think people should really start there. Weight savings best bang for buck is a cab but for putting power to the ground clutch kit. Think of it as a modern vehicle, you start with a tuner and build your mods around that. Your clutch is your tuner.

A couple of us run the SLP pipe and can and really like it. This motor just sounds super smooth and happy with it. We just run the ethanol mode below 4000 ft.

The dyno guy is going to clutch it--he is well respected in this area. He just has not gotten his hands on a lot of axys mods to test and try. Everything he has tried so far has made very little power when the engine is warm and it is held open. Looking for a real 10-15hp gain.

Havent seen any feedback on the dyno port pipe. The SLP pipe/can worked very well in the mountains last year. Stock sleds were running 10-64, slp guys were 10-68. Thats real world hp, plus nice gains in track speed. Eric

Eric was there anything else required with the slp pipe and can beside a change in clutching? Resistor or fuel controller? Or is it just change the clutching and go?

Nothing else needed. Run in Prem fuel mode with GOOD non-eth 91 octane, try and run 89 octane and it will trip the DET sensor on a long climb. This was 8,000ft and above. Eric

10-64, 10-68

are those weights? polaris or slp?
any other clutching changes?

i know slp recommends their weights and changing primary spring

Those are polaris weights, stock springs. If your sled is brand new it wont pull 68's right away. You need to get out of the break-in period. You could start with the 64's (stock weights) for the first couple rides, then add weight as you get some hours on it. Eric

So no bolt on power adders? Almost every time I mention I am gonna dyno this thing people go silent on hp gains. Sled goes to the dyno after the nh grass drags.

Silber turbo

Easy silber turbo! Ecu reflash. runs flawless no boxes or plug ins. Pull and go. Silber has Axys dialed to perfection I own 2 Axys w this. When I bout my second one I said I'll leave stock incase turbo sled has problems got 850 miles on it and turboed the other. Buddy did 2600 miles then sold sled w silber. Awesome power worth every penny!

Because there's none to be had. This isn't the 90's... We're basically getting a race motor that has reliability right from the factory. Im sure you can run it more on edge and gain a little (under 10hp) but not even close to worth the money spent IMO.

Either put a can on and ride the snot out of it or bolt on a turbo for 3,500-4,000 dollars and have some real power.

With some pipes and fuel controller you will get 10hp. This summer I got my engine ported. Jaws pipe and a head. This is 15-16 hp. But I'll find out in a few months how it works.

Slp pipe usually dynos around 7 hp gain. Id be interested to hear about a head

Straight line has a pipe they are saying 20hp and their booth is right next to mine this weekend. Maybe I will scoop one up.

Please share the results with us when you get the dyno work done.

They are not magic guys!
If your mind says it's to good to be true... it probably is.
I rode with a straight line pipe last year, my poor slp pipe that the dyno says makes 7hp only performed as good or better, so... you can dyno stuff all day if you like but what really matters is how it works on the snow!

Some won't like this answer because there dyno sheet says different but sorry sometimes the truth hurts.:present:
