Looks like a job transfer may land me in the Boise area. Can any of you offer any insight to the area? Riding areas, distance to and from, parts of town to live etc....
29 years old, I've been riding for 8-9 years very experienced and I have always ridden Polaris (Don't hold this against me):face-icon-small-sho

Welcom to Idaho. Boise is not a bad place to live if you love to sled. Most folks here have McCall and the Trinities as their favorite places to go and they are both within a 1 1/2 hour drive (Trinities are closer).

I live in burbs of SW Boise (Meridian) and it is newer and a little cheaper than the east and north side of town. Many folks live further out west in Namp and commute into Boise. What part of town will your work be?

Boise is a great place to live... just don't tell anybody... :face-icon-small-dis

Depends on where you want to live and how far you want to drive to working daily. I'd stay away from living too far west of the city... the traffic can really eat up your time.

McCall and the Trinities are both great places to ride but I'd say that McCall is closer at 2 hours and Trinities is more like 3 unless you go through Praire but that road isn't always the best. There are a ton of other great places to ride closer... just have to pick what you like.

As for Polaris you couldn't ask for better support from Carl's in your own back yard.

Well, here in Boise, you'll feel like you fit in, if your conservative. If your liberal, you want to live in the "north end". Otherwise, the entire area has great places to live. If you want to live in the mountains, you can do that easily here.

Where you going to work?

Thanks

Thanks guys. It looks like the ol' lady may be landing a position at St. Alphonsus hospital. As for me I can work anywhere, I just need to find a small office space. I've ridden McCall a number of times but that's about it for ID. We may in town next week checking the place out so I'll keep you all posted:face-icon-small-hap

Saint Al is a good place to work.

Bring your sled, we'll go to the Trinities. :)
