BMP 860 Big Bore and Durability Package

If 40 ppl toss in 100 bucks each, ill have mine ready b4 snow flies. Ill follow up after 500 miles with every last detail anyone requests. Pm me for payment info :-)

Sidenote, bmp thrives on high dyno numbers, but has anyone officially ever proved em wrong, or is it just gossip?

Apparently they have an 875 now as well. Says 180-190hp. Someone in another post wrote about upgrading his 860 to it for next year after riding one.

That was me, love my BMP 860 BB/reliability kit. On pump gas, with stock timing. Put 700 mi on it with no issues other than losing the voltage reg. Lots of grunt, great in the trees. Pulling 67grams, With stock track. 65 with 3" center drive in wet heavy snow. The 875 they had out to togwotee pulls 70 grams, very impressive considering stockers only pull 60, at tog. These motors are night & day seat of the pants different than most pros I've rode.. You can thumb it through stuff that my stocker is at full pin! Rode the 860 for about 5 days strait, while guiding. Got back on the stocker and felt like I was riding a 6.. BMP has my 860, as they wanted to go through it. So while its there, it's easy to up to the 875... ;-)

Well it's nice to have you chime in here with your experience. My concerns are durability and tuning. Was there much tuning for you or was it pull and go? I've read of at least one of their durability kits went down this winter. Do you know anyone with more than 700 miles on the big bores? So the 875 pulls 3 more grams than the 860 huh. Or was the 875 on a 3" track making it 5 more? What's the rest of your clutching set up? Also, have you run with and without their pipe? Curious if there's a difference.

875 was on stock track. So yes, 3 gm. I'm running there clutching set up with the Tied secondary & BMP adjustables that are like a polaris 10-60 profile. Talking with Joey I opted to stay with stock timing to help with avoiding having to mix in order to have to get to 92 oct. 93 not available around me. It has been pull & go for me. Switching to the 3" 67gm was fine in dry fluff. Had a warm spell & dropped 2. All around works, just have to watch full pin in the flats, where its not really loaded . Over tach. At 9600 on a hill it's there. Have only been out with one other BMP 860, early on it wasn't anything like mine. He messed with it & couldn't find anything. It eventually lost a cyl. Dropped it with them & they tore it down. He said it had Something to do with tolerances in the Polaris case. They fixed it & brought it out to togwotee & tested it before giving it to me to hold onto. Owner came out a few weeks later to ride & said he was very happy with it.

Do you have any affiliation with BMP? Maybe I missed it but how was your fuel map?

No affiliation, other than I have been using there products for about 6 seasons & have riden with them when they have come to togwotee. Would catagerize them just like any of my guests. Over time & riding you build semi relationship with them all. As for mapping, it's good enough for me. Have a buddy that feels it could be leaned up a bit. But, I thinks if it works for me, I'll leave it a little chubby. keep it on the safe side.

So the BMP 875 can pull 70 grams, as a matter of comparison, what does a turboed 800 pull under similar elevation?

9psi on my Assault 800 on low elevation on straight pump gas I was running 10-76 weights.

BTW: Im running 10-68 weights when stock, pulling 8300rpm.
