Blue Mountains 2012-13 PART II

Hello haven`t made it to the blues yet this season , got there once last season, my buddy riddin buddy is probably down for the rest of the season so mine is probably cut short also,

Plumnuts, actually the chassis I swapped out in my sled this season was one that was purchased from you guys by a shr860 in Post Falls or Josh I beleive it was , was the 03 1/2 chassis with the VE Drop and Roll I thought he said was in it when he purchased it from ya, my sled now has a custom narrow 35.5 front end and freshly installed Tmotion rear skid kit installed in 08` rails set back to the 159 track I am running. sled works pretty good I just have to lear how to ride this sled that tips and lays over a bunch easier than the last couple seasons I have rode it, still a novice rider but really getting a hang of this redone sled, with a tons of mods done to it other than engine is stock 800HO. Has all 07` XRS panels.

How is the snow conditions in the Blues now?

Well the cat didn't make it out of the parking lot. Last trip out had the belt come out of the clutches on a tail landing. I was telling Plum about it as we were unloading and he said "Wow, that is some serious chassis flex." I immediately pulled the hood up to examine the bulkhead and sure enough it is cracked. Looks like I am done for the year unless I pull the 7 out of the trailer. I would have more excuse then Plum then.

you know I remember when CB8 was the "Ultra pig" and we towed him more times out of the mountains or helped with trail side repairs than I can count... and instead of buying a good snowmobile he buys a Cat and became CB 8... and now this is trip number TWO of "Houston I have a problem" and the trip is ended quickly... thus I became, "CB 8 tow service":focus:

For the Record the cat has always made it back to and onto the trailer under its own power.:whoo:

Too bad the only hill climb was back up on the sled deck. Hope you can get it braced up. It was a good day after I got unstuck in the parking lot. There is lots to track up on the mountain and it is sure nice to see the improving snow depth on top.

Think it is fixable. Probably at least two weeks or better to get it done. Have to pull the motor. With the forecast the way it is might need to pull out the Yamaha.

March 3 Dayton Bucket Run

Next Sunday March 3 is the Blue Mt. SnoMo Club bucket run which runs out of the Tochet Corral SnoPark below Bluewood from 9-11 am with a modified route to Godman where food and prizes will be provided.

At least CB.8 could get into the parking lot. Bleu had to be pulled in and pushed out at the end of the day. It was nice to have the new snow but is could sure use some more.

Ride Report 3/2/13 Rose Springs

I am sucking on a tall 7 and 7 trying to ease the pain from today’s ride. It was a ball buster with lots of stuck and just tough riding. I think in the past 12 years this is the most grueling ride I have been on. I rode two up behind my 9 year old granddaughter on a 1981 Yamaha ET 340 long track all the way from Rose Springs parking lot ALL THE WAY to Clearwater Lookout! I mean what is that 7-8 miles one way? The trail was a buster, groomed trail sloppy snow… I can barely walk. Early that day I returned to my racing and ran the obstacle course on the same ET 340 after a zillion other runs… okay there was air time and it looked good right up to landing with the what two inches of suspension travel… someone get me a wheelchair.

Thanks to the Mt. Misery Snowmobile club for running the vintage ride… next year I am riding my own vintage sled… like a M8 or something. :face-icon-small-con

Snow is wet, going fast, trails are groomed but sloppy...
