ive never had this happen before....i was riding yesterday and hear this WHACK WHACK. i stop, check it over and dont see anything. slowy ride a little further and smell chaincase oil and hear a constant grinding. we decide that the seal must have leaked or something, so the oil is draining out. i ride VERY slowly home (5mph) and get it into the garage. When i take the chaincase off there are TWO ENORMOUS HOLES out the front and back of the chaincase!!!
So thats why the oil leaked out.... Basically it looks like the top of one of the bolt in there broke off and broke outher things off which all cycled through there eventually spitting out and breaking it? sound right?
also, its on a 07 purchased last febuary....one year bumper to bumper waranty, no reason this shouldnt be covered?
