Bleed coolant system on 06 600 RMK - Radiator Delete

Hi guys,

Yesterday I removed the radiator on my wife's 06 600 RMK 144 (SLP Radiator Removal Kit). I *think* I got all the air out of the system when I bled it, but how can you tell for sure?

I followed the instructions in the service guide. When I quit yesterday the tunnel cooler was hot, both sides of the boards were hot, and I had hot fluid coming out of the thermostat bleed screw. Does this mean I got it right? I don't want to burn it up!

Thanks in advance.

Drive your sled halfway up your trailer ramp so that the motor is above the rear cooler. Idle up to temp...you'll be able to see the bubbles start to come into your bottle. Let it run for about 5 mins that way. Then you'll be sure.

Also, check the SLP Rad delete coupling, it has a restriction in it. Take it out and go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a 3/4" plastic barbed coupling , install that in its place. Its a full port and allows for more free flow of coolant.

easiest way to bleed a sleds cooling system is with it idling pull it up on its clutch side (keep the motor running just above idle) for about a minute..lay it back down on the track, then pull it up on the mag side for a minute.....lay it back down on the track and check coolant levels..repeat if you think there might still be air in the system..this will easily remove every bit of air in the coolant system every time....
