are those grizzlys

Yup. You can tell by the size and hump on their back.

A "regular" brown bear typically doesn't get that big and they generally just don't look near as burly.

Awesome shots.

Just wish they had crosshairs on them, or a legal tag in the ear.:rolleyes:

Maybe one day we will have a season on them too, I hope.

We should use some of them child molesters for the bait!!!!!
Nice pics T/A:D

Not in Alaska. The coastal brown bears dwarf grizzles due to their fish/protein diet. They're all pretty darn burly though. :beer;

PS I saw three blacks behind my house yesterday. They crossed the road right in front of me. I stopped the truck and the biggest bear stopped and sniffed my front drivers side tire. I though maybe he was gonna pee on it like a dog. Then he walked around beside the drivers side window and just looked up at me with his head cocked to one side, it was pretty cool. It looked like he was really curious about me. I took 4 or 5 pictures with my camera phone, but they turned out totaly white for some reason???? They are fun critters to watch for sure, just wouldn't want to wrestle one.

That is a sad sight. My cousin used to bait up big sandy area and had a similiar experience last spring. Not baiting in that area any more. Cool pics though
