Just looking to plan next month's (July) summer trip with the family and investigating the Bighorns. Never been, but heard good things. Wondering if anyone can suggest which lodge to stay in order to ride in/out on trails that would be suitable for 2 RZR XP's. Would like to stay for 4 riding days.

Thanks in advance!

Deer haven is pretty nice. They have basic cabins. Or a few hotel style rooms to rent no tv in any though. The lodge serves pretty good food. And the bar stays open as long As your there. There's alot to see around there with meadowlark and tensleep lakes. Along with alot of trails and roads. You will need a wyoming ORV tag for each atv. The cost is 15 a piece I think. You will need your VIN numbers handy to get those. You can purchase them in buffalo wy or tensleep wy. Just depends on which way your coming. There is also a south fork lodge on that side of the mountain as well. The same guy owns both. Bear lodge at burgess junction is on the north side and offers everything. Even tv I think.

There is arrowhead lodge as well their web site isn't coming up.

Don't forget high country lodge! The owner is on snowest alot. He is always giving good info about weather and conditions. I haven't been to his place yet. But plan on it soon

I'd 2nd highcountry. The guy running it is named such and is a goldmine of information on conditions during the winter.

Thanks for the replies, guys! Looking at the downloadable MVUM maps, there seems to be a lot of restrictions on 50" widths for the summer trails. My XP's are 64". I'll have to dig into that and see what's around there. I'll contact Highcountry as well. Looking forward to it, as are my kids!

Butta, let us know what you find out on the width restrictions. I have an Arctic Cat Prowler. I've read the map dozens of times and I'm still confused.
Thanks.
