Has anyone played around with bigger/bored out injectors rather than going with an extra set for more boost/hp? Seems like it may be a simpler and cheaper way to go if you could get them to work...
It has been done, the fuel controller must be able to shorten the pulse duration going to the injector. Just dropping the fuel pressure will not do the job. It is more complex than just adding extra injectors.
This is a good question that has got me wondering as well. It seems so simple in theory for a rookie like me. Why add another set for a total of 4 when potentially you could just replace the 2 injectors we have now with 2 larger ones. I understand having to change the pulse width as the larger ones can flow more. Need more input from the pro's here. Sounds do-able??? More info please.
This is a good question for the after market turbo suppliers. How about sharing some of your trial experience as I expect most have played with larger injectors already???
Had M1000 inj. in my T8M last season... Now I'm uppgrading with 875cc inj., modified fuel system with Aeromotive FPR and return to tank + Walbro 255l/h pump in tank...
