Big suprise tucker wins at x-games

Tucker rides well no doubt but.....

....the X-Games has another boring race. I changed the channel after 6 laps. I just can't get excited about a 30+ second lead and all Paul Page (spell?) can talk about is Tucker. Same old story from Paul.

Good job anyway Tucker!

I respect Levi's accomplishments and determination, but the coverage of the event was very dissappointing. Tucker put on an amazing display of rider ability pulling away from the field and they barely even had the cameras on him:face-icon-small-fro Fun to watch anyway!

The coverage was not on him because there was no one to challenge him. When someone is that far out front it is a lot more exciting to watch the action back in the pack.

We were at the race tonight and 32 seconds between 1st and 2nd doesn't even do it justice. It wasn't even that close. He could of been even further ahead if he had wanted too. Tucker had lapped 3/4 of the field and was up to the 5th place when the race ended. On the upside, it was one of the better tracks I had seen at the X-Games.

I was there and watched from the infield. He was so fast and smooth no one had a chance even if he wouldn't have got the hole shot.

I hate how the X-games always picks one athlete from each discipline to shower all the attention on. Tucker easily wins the final and who do they interview? Forth place Levi.

Talk about a azz kicking LOL. Tucker is a incredible rider indeed but lets face it his sled is also just as incredible. Whoever does the setup on that thing deserves some props also.

Really got tired of the Levi this Levi that but its X-games so you have to expect that. I think he did a good job considering how he must have been feeling.

Last big props to Robbie Malinoski for coming in second on the Doo. The Doo's are way outclassed & he did a awesome job. Still can tell the the RS doesn't turn for crap but he made it work.

russ ebert sets up the sleds he lives about a mile from me. so tuckers semi is usally parked in his driveway. i heard that russ took an enginering job at arctic. but he probally still sets up the sleds. (i think he is dan eberts dad also)

Another thing that pissed me off besides the constant Levi this, Levi that, and no interview with the guy who won the gold? WTF? ESPN, get yer heads out of yer azz! Also, The stupid commentators, "the green sled, on the yellow sled, on the black sled." Or, "the guy with the orange "outfit", or the "green outfit" OUTFIT? WTF, is this a fashion show or something? LEARN THE SLEDS, AND THE NUMBERS OF THE GUYS RACING, SO YOU DON'T REFER TO THEM AS THE GUY WITH THE ORANGE OUTFIT ON THE YELLOW SLED!!!!!!!:face-icon-small-fro

And if I'm not mistaken Tucker's dad had a little part in the design of the sled.;)

Well guys I think tucker can ride about anything and win. My boys and I rode moto with Kirk and Tucker years ago and there Is where it best riders come from a solid background In Motocross........

Tucker did dominate, but I was very impressed with Levis overall finish. He came form what 11th all the way to 4th with a f*cked up ankle. Got give kudos to him for that.

when tucker first started racing pro. russ ebert hand built his sled in his garage here in nisswa.

Reason Tucker wasn't getting as much fame is that he only runs snowx, and thats it. He has one event all weekend to win, one thing to focus on. These other riders are more diversified in their riding, they do the other big air style type compititions, so obviously they're names will be used more throughout the broadcast.

So tucker should get 1st and 5th, but no interveiw.

I am just happy they haver sledding at the X-Gamnes.

Will sledding stay in X Games with the greenies taking over the federal government?

As far as who gets coverage on the race? They ... XGAMES already made a deal with Levi because of all the events he was in plus the backflip.

I wonder how much $$$$ was involved to control who saw what and who was interviewed or not interviewed.

My brother in law ran in the Olympic trials a while back in Atlanta and was not suppose to make it in the finals much less finish in the top 5. Well all week the media was talking about the hot shot (NIKE) runner and how close he would get to the world record. Well the hot shot racer did not finish and the cameras were all over him getting interviews along with his NIKE sponsor. My brother in law started near last position at the first lap and finished second. 10 more yards and he would have been first. He did not run for NIKE and after the race NIKE filed a complaint demanding an extra drug screening for him. Nike racers finished 1st 3rd 4th and 5th. So my brother in law was accused for drugging. Who did he run for? Athletes for Christ and they found no drugs. Nike vigorously complained about him and ended up not going to the Olympics. In fact many years later as he turned 40 he wanted to run in NIKE sponsored events and was denied. My brother in law holds the Masters world record for age 40 men 1500 meter.

I did not even watch, "SLO-CROSS" racing has become boring, if you do not get the holeshot you do not have a chance of winning and you will probably end up in a crash on the first corner. Before the sleds became so technical you would occasionally see a good race with some come from behind passing, now it is like nascar, whoever hits on the setup dominates the race. If you want to see some snowmobile racing go to Eagle River sometime, snowmobiles side by side on ice at 90 mph, with nothing but straw bales between them and the wall.
