got a little more snow[ 3 to 4"] and not bad riding for early

Anybody know if there is a enough snow to get from bear up to bald? Don't really want to drag the rig over to the Lovell side.

stay home unless you like riding in the grass and dirt to get to the snow. You have to ride aways in that junk to get to any kind of snow.

Some pics of Saturday and Sunday's riding....Sat rode from granite pass and sunday from bear lodge to bald mt. snow was really thin from granite....and was pretty thin for awhile from bear to bald.

If you searched around enough you can find some good snow, but you have to be careful...lot's of land mines still around. How bout the trip up and down the pass today...wow..solid ice, actually put the chains on to come down the mountain, never seen it that icy before....pity the trucks that didn't have chains...I just heard that some of them are still in parking lot waiting for chains to get down?

What was the deal with the pass? Getting up was not bad, but chains were necessary coming back down. That was ridiculous.

And the snow, ended up being great. Found a nice play area, first tracks in and we spent 5 hours or so just right there. No carnage, a few land mines, but nothing that was too bad in that play area. Other than the drive, it was a great day.

We just went back up to the lower lot to get our sleds and it had snowed there and a cloud over the mountains, it looks like it was snowing on top of the mountain pretty good. It was real windy at that lower lot.

roads up and down were pretty bad---the snow was good
