Big Horns North (HWY 14 West)

Hey Justin, Brant, Lee and T/A there may be a dozen or more of us coming this weekend, have to stay down in Sheridan as we can't find a room on the mountain. Are you guys going to be around for a ride? 6 leaving early Friday morning and the rest leaving Friday night and riding all day Saturday and Sunday from the parking area in front of Bear.

Snow is still good unless you ride on top of the hills on Hunt Mtn Road area. Rode 82 miles yesterday and cross other sled tracks about 5 times. Everything was untouched with between 2 and 8 new inches north of Bear.

Is March too Late !?!?

mar. 20 is that too late? bear lodge?

Some of the best riding you ever get will be in March and April in the Horns. When it's raining in Billings it's usually snowing like mad in the horns and you can get some really deep pow days. We ride in May but it's pretty setup and we are just milking the season by that time. Here are some pics from middle to end of May.

Raining down Low and snow like mad up top!

JON,JAMIE,RAY & SHIELA:beer;

Just wondering what the trail condition is like to ranger creek and snowshoe. I heard that they were logging and you could almost drive a truck back in there. Just wanted to know the truth to this. Is the trail still there.

They are logging up there but if you get directions straight from the start just look for our tracks and get off the road bypass the actual road and cut up the hill instead of the trail. You will cross the road a few times but once you get to Ranger Creek you can bypass most of the actual road. Riding is pretty good back there right now.

Hi Guys,
It was great having you here and hope to see you guys again soon! We too had lots of fun! The snow is still great and there's plenty of it, so get that sled fixed!!!
Doc, Amy & Corine.

Snowed good overnight. More snow in the forecast for this week. :D:D A buddy was up there today, said there was at least a foot to a foot and a half of new snow where he was riding.

We rode Saturday 3/1

It was spring like conditions but a good base, we'll get some big dumps before it's over and have kick arse riding. Even though the snow wasn't great we found some fun things to do...:D
