Big Bore Kit for 600 CFI

look at carls 770 for that, I believe the bottom end for the 600 is the same as the 700, If it is the 770 should work aswell as the 840, might be wrong, Considering the time of the year it would prob be much quicker to call Carls or Slp,

I called Carls, they told me they did a lot of testing on the 660 CFI big bore kit. They said some days it was ahead of the 685 carbed kit and some days it was behind. He told me it was too close to call. The 685 kit has some bottom end porting and the 660 CFI doesn't. I think I'm going to go with the 660 CFI big bore kit $1599. US ;)

I think you miss heard me. When comparing a 660CFI against a carbed 660/685, the CFI version is noticeably better. We did see some days were the 660CFI was quicker than a 800 dragon and there were days were the dragon was better.

The 660 CFI kit will only be available for the 2-injector 600 motors.

Chris,

Sounds like another "home run" kit for Carls!

I'm looking at this myself to build 141" springtime throw-around sled to compliment the long track.
I really like the feel of the short throw cranks and how that short stroke affects the handling of the sled compared to the longer stroke engines.

By "better" what do you mean? Better torque, better throttle response etc???

500 yard hill drag in set up snow or a long open pow covered face in highmarking?

Boondocking in steep tree sections in deep snow?

Does the 660 Carls CFi have much improved low end "grunt".... how about compared to the piped 800 with the 6mm longer stroke?

Good questions.

Does anyone have any real world experiance with the 660 CFI? I just bought a 09 rmk shift and am thinking about the 660 kit but would like to here if anyone has ran it and what it is like. Also if carls reprograms the computer or do I have to run a powercommander?

No info on Carls website concerning the 660CFI. Did they happen to mention hp numbers? Does it run on pump gas?
