big air bubble in oil line

I have a big air bubble in my oil line right after the little filter, the bubble is about an inch long. I looked at my buddies sled and he has one also, on his there is no oil for about three inches in the tube. Both of these are 09 d8's. We have not ridden either one in almost two weeks. I noticed this about a week ago and it dont seem to be getting bigger, I was wondering if anybody else is having this problem. I am not sure what to even do about it, I know it cannot be good. When the bubble gets to the engine it will just pump air for a while, thats not going to help the engine any. Also neither one of these have been even close to being run out of oil, or being rolled recently. I could see this happening if you rolled it on its top and let it keep running. If anybody is curious on theres you can look between the oil reservoir and the air box and the oil line is visible.

This is a common issue which has to do with the way the oil line is routed. 2007 700's had the same issue and polaris themselves said it wont cause any issues. The line needs to be moved in a more vertical position to get rid of the air bubble, but wont be 100% gone since its horozontal where it comes out of the bottle.

I had the same issue on my Assault after pulling the engine. I shortened the oil line a bit to get it more vertical, then had to bleed the $h!t out of it roughly 4-5oz of oil through the pump bleeder before it was straight oil. Now I have peace of mind, Polaris says that it won't cause issue it may and it may not but I'm not leaving anything to chance

I had a bubble that the dealer missed after putting on a new top end. I ran 90 miles and used NO OIL out of my reservoir. The only thing that saved me was the oil on the fuel take for break in. They worked the bubble out and now I'm using the correct amount of oil.
I'd resolve the issue and not just "leave it, its OK"

^^Whoa^^ Lucky the motor wasn't lost.

From the Service Manual:

NOTE: Any time that the engine is disassembled or repaired, it is important to purge air within the hoses and oil pump.

Ya think!

I would not think there should be air in the line at all, I will look at mine but I have seen the filters get plugged on older sleds and then you get no oil.
