Bibs or no bibs?

So, im upgrading my old klim pants this year and getting new ones.....Tog. bibs or freeirdes??

the bibs feel kinda funny in the store but mabye theyd be better once im riding?
On the contrary, it seems like with the bibs and valdez jacket it would be impossible for snow to get in?:D

Any opinions would be appreciated...

It all depends on what you like, For me, snowboarding, or sledding bibs seem like the way to go. You dont get snow up your coat and you dont get a wet a**.

And in the spring you can where them without a coat.

Thats my $.02

I wear snowboarding pants... work just fine. I got enough straps and buckles on my chest when i ride; don't need any more.

how about xtreme bibs. low cut in the front like pants but have a back on them like bibs. i'am gona try them this year.

Yup, bought me a pair of the extreme bibs also. Hopefully try em out in a month or two...they seem like they would be the best of both worlds. We'll see!

Yah, that is a big big benefit. I rock the free rides... but my ummmmm increasing girth necessitated the need for putting suspenders on. I still blame it on my super slick first layer as the culprit.. Also, if you wear a vest and backpack, sometimes it pushes just right on the top of the pant and pushes them down a little, excaserbating the problem. That and the free rides I had don't have belt loops and I couldn't get them tight enough. Something just isn't right about sledding with your pants always falling down... yah, stop laughing at me.....

I would get bibs if I did it again. Though not everyone can be as cool as me with blue suspenders on my pants!

What he said! I found them warmer...often just wore a long sleeve shirt under my shell with bids.

Bibs all the way! I have Klim tog bibs and valdez parka. Im ALWAYS warm and dry. I find them really comfortable too. I have snowboard pants that I tried out even in spring riding and I went back to the bibs. Seemed like snow always finds a way in somehow. Not with the bibs though.

hmmm, i rock pants, and i never have issues with snow down the back, unless i fall REALLY hard, then it gets everywhere and i usually have to go hunting down gloves and googles. my pants have a tall back on em, it really helps keep the snow out and the backpack from pushing them down, its nice. on warm days, pants and longsleeve MX jersey.

I really enjoy the mobility of not having straps hanging on my shoulders, i skied for a long time and wore bibs, then I convereted to boarding and sledding, and i have just always like pants, as i spend a lot of time walking in the deep snow, digging, cutting, and whatnot, so its a lot different than most riders.
