BFG AT's

I hope you dont think the nittos are going to last long? I got 25K out of my set, and got 35K out of my revos. Thats pulling a trailer 2-3 times a week grossing truck and trailer weight at 20K+.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know much about the Nitto's other than a lot of guys buy them for their trucks. I'm leaning toward the BFG A/T's. I've used them before and had good luck with them.

I believe they buy them for there trucks because they are fairly cheap in comparison to some of the other options.

I ran two sets of the A/T's. I averaged 85,000km-90000km of both sets. I always rotated them at the first sign of feathering on the front and kept a close eye on the pressures 50 psi all year round. They were good tires in the snow and rain. However mine were 315/70/17's and were only available in D range.

I went to a heavy 5th wheel 16,000lbs) this year and needed E range tires. I decided on the Hankook DynoPro ATM RF-10. They have been awesome so far and show barely any wear after the first 10,000 km. They are a great tire in the rain and have heard they are awesome in the snow. If you compare the 285's i bought compared to say the Revo's they weigh 69 lbs a tire compared to the 51 lb Revo. Must be more steel in them for sure. They are also cheaper than the BFG's as well. They aren't as aggressive and are quieter than the BFG. They are siped from the factory. I think Hankook has scored a home run on these tires and will give the other mfg a run for their money.

BFG A/T's ... Yes, worth the money

My two cents...I run them on both my Tahoe and My Duramax 2500HD They do wear a little faster than those hard chinese tires you can get from Les Schawb but that's because they are a softer rubber compound and is also why they work better on ice. I think they work better without studs than any mudder tire with studs. I have ran both.

Keep us updated on how the Hankooks perform on ice. They look like a good tread pattern for what I need. Always nice to have options.

Will doo ! I should be putting them to the test next month. The roads should be chit by then for sledding.

Thanks

Thanks Summitboy,
I did some research on the hankook's and found nothing but good reviews on them. I ordered mine today can't wait to get them on and give them a try. O and the $45 per tire that i saved over the BFG's was pretty nice too. Thanks for all of your feed back guys i appreciate it.

My KO's lasted 80,000 miles on my 02 dakota and only 30,000 0n my diesel. I've since switched to Goodyear's Silent armor Kevlar tire, Only have like 8,000 miles on them but look brand new.

I have a set of 35s and have loved em. They ride super nice and very quiet, and seem to be wearing nicely too. I'm trading out the 37s on my new truck for the 35s soon in fact.
