Beware of buying Push turbo from MM

I did not tell you a week. No did I take any of you money as deposit or anything right? I ordered it just for you special order and now I am out 3000 thanks. And now I not only am sitting on a 3000 turbo I am getting bashed on Sw. Priceless.

Kevin..

I will be more than happy to take that turbo kit off your hands for 3k..

Some people will complain about everything..

I would like everyone to know that Kevin never met me a year ago.. I met him at his shop. He and his family welcomed me to his home. made me dinner, had a room for me at his house, and took me out on brand new turboed sleds at absolutly cost to me!!

A crook?? I buy all my stuff from him and I live in AK!!

Great guy!

Seems like most of us agree, 10% is cheap. I guess I would like to know why you didn't take the turbo and put it on after you fix your sled? I'll also bet that MM would have worked with you if the kit needed to be changed because you bought another sled. Lots of options but getting away free of charge and blaming MM for the problem should not be one of them.

Kevin's wife must cook a lot of dinners for strangers as he invited me home for dinner when I drove from Oregon so he could wrench on my turbo. Truth was I was so freaking tired from the drive, I declined, and to this day, it's a decision I regret. Would have been an honor to meet his family.

All I have to say is you ordered a $3000 plus turbo kit, but cant afford the $100-250 to insure it. Or you get the turbo kit as planned because you should have that money in hand right, then save to fix the sled. With a name of treemagnet, I would have insurance. I pay $250 a year and have a $250 deductible, If I wrecked my sled I would make money.

So all in all I'm not completely sure which side I stand on (its all hearsay) but you look a little silly in this aspect.

No trying to high jack the tread but who do you use to insurer your sled or who do you recommend?

LOL, I think you can highjack the sh!t out of this thread. Shouldn't have been started in the first place.

I know you didn't quote to me be but if you are in Alberta, I insure through AMA. Good rates, I think I'm paying $134 per year.

I use State farm, others say its cheaper with Farmers,

Geico and Progressive are a bunch of dusch's I had Progressive then went to geico but got back into sleding years back and they wanted over $1000 every 6 months, so I went to state farm and got everything cheaper, enough that switching the sled was already paid.

I use Farm B. on everything except the turbo. They would not insure a turbo sled for $18500. Formost does but it is damn expensive, $629 a year with a $250 deduct. I am guessing the speeding tickets might have something to do with that though. Buddy uses them for the same sled for the same amount and his is right at $400/year.

Surprised it only took 20+ replies from everyone before this guy came to terms with things, and my two cents are the restock was justified, compalints like this towards dealers or vendors isn't good, remember when we order things from them, most of the time they don't make us pay the full amount upfront, but if they continue to get negative feedback on these types of forums just because things don't always go our way, I could see them saying $#@% you pay me or go somewhere else! Hats off to all of the dealers out there for putting up with @#$% like this!!!!! Also good point Av8er, insurance is cheap, mine is only $9 a month w/ a $250 deductible as well, usually covers about everything as well, State Farm.

This thread should be pulled as the title really gets it off to a bad start and it has been resolved. Good to see that lots of you guys get the vendors point of view. Sometimes it costs more for us to stock your parts than we make off them, especially when someone backs out of a special order or we order what we think(hope) will sell in that season. It's not like certain parts or kits go obsolete by next year and are worthless if they are still on the shelf.

I agree, pull this sh1tty thread please. Probably the dumbest thread ever posted here period.

I don't know if I'd go that far. The title is a bit rough, but I think there's a lesson to be learned here for many, lots of us forget what it's like to be on the other side of the equation.

Kinda feels like the end of a south park episode...:face-icon-small-win

Change the title

There is a lesson to be learned in this thread so I think it should stay. Would be nice to see the title tweaked a bit though. With out reading the thread one would assume MM is a jerk. That doesn't seem to be the case at all. I've had nothing to do with him but my riding buddy has and he seems to know his stuff and does make claims he can't back-up.
Good onya Tree Magnet....for the confession that is.

I just asked the question of the restocking fee. I am out the cash and am glad thats all I am out. My ins. finally covered my sled, yes I had ins. but they wanted the tow vehicle owners ins. company to cover the damage. Funny thing is (not really) after having this return problem I checked to see if these were the hot ticket items like I was told when I asked MM about them, and was warned by differant dealers of THESE kits to stay away from these kits as they are NOT tried and true. If I was a perfect tuner I MAY of not had any problems with this kit but I want a plug and play kit and was told this kit was. I have asked this question on here more than once and no-one,Other than the seller has told me its a easy kit to make run right. My take...you get what you pay for. Reason for installing one.....needing to get into areas in the midddle of the night to get to some of our fellow rider's that have had a little bad luck.......and cus I am getting older and need a little edge. Maybe I will just roll over and turn the radio off next time.....or maybe I will order a BOONDICKER!!!!LOL

Now you sound like you had buyers remorse and used the sled getting totaled as an excuse???? Get ready for the flame........
