You remove the stock 'braces', yes.

I cut out a full hole, but maybe leaving some extra metal, and bending over the grippers may be a good idea for some.


Tip, leave as much material up in the footwel as possible.

I put in Snow Eliminators. I layed the Eliminator down then traced around it with a sharpie. I used a grinder with a cutting wheel (very quick). Then I flattend out the raised stock foot rest snow eliminaotr holes. Then I went back and cut the little tabs left over from flattening them out. Here are some pics, hope they help.

you will love them...I did the same as Rotax...I used a hammer on teh tops with a hand sledge (sledge just used to hammer against to flatten, as like an anvil base) on the bottom to flatten them out perfectly...
