Setting up a 2020 with a 165" - Which track is better for Wy and ID type snow?

Conquer 260 or 280?

Looking for someone running one. Thanks in advance.

280 epic, but doesn’t come in a 165. I ran the epic 280 last year and it was incredible, installing a Polaris 165 2.75, hoping it’s better

We are very curious to see how the new Series 8 track works for the masses. Based on lug pattern and durometer it seems well suited for WY/ID type snow but only time will tell.

Both of the conqueror track types have a little bit of a habit of trenching especially in softer snow like you ride. This gets better once the tracks break in but be warned they will dig more then the OEM style track.

I'll get some time on the Series 8, 165 pretty soon.
(BD boosted, 2019 850).

I'll give a report.

I’m running a fully clipped doo 3” 165 cut to 15” with powder freaks drivers on my boosted 19 850. So far, very impressed with this setup in the Sicamous/Revy snow.

We’re well into the season, how are the 165 tracks doing?

Buying a gently used 2020 Khaos 155 and plan on making it a 165.

The alpha track trenches a touch. Has more traction than anything but i like the series 8. Jumps right up and gets going. Doos trench a little. Some is in their approach angle

Update on the (edit) Epic 280 - it's garbage. Threw lugs on the first ride and lost enough after only a few rides that I tried to warranty it. Cost me $100 to ship the track to them, and they never even offered to return it to me after denying the claim.

It’s been reported to be garbage from the first few sold.

Lug throwing trencher.

Sucks for sure.

Are you actually talking about the epic 280 you mentioned above?

I am very happy with my series 8 165. The drivers not so much but it was almost expected to have some draw backs and the track tension is hard on the track.

If doing the series 8 extroverts is the way to do it.

I was skeptical about the conquer 280 but no choice this year after I wrecked the series 8 165 track on it's second voyage. I feel it works pretty good has good traction. 600 miles no missing lugs but we have 300cm of base now so hard to hit things. I would buy again. Most tracks trench with bad suspension setup.
