best yami skis????

Tried them all, went back to the stockers. Now, that sounds lame but they work awesome. If they dart at all for ya, add the Yami dual running wearbars/carbides off the 2 up sled. Cant remember if its the Venture or the VK540.

I got some simmons Gen II's for sale, slightly used, for an apex, all black $300.:D

Thanks for the offer darko but i have a pair of simmons gen I on my old srx thats now my kids sled. they seemed to be the best at the time but wasn't impressed with them. I now ride a apex turbo. I rode a summit with slydogs and thought they were better but dont know how the are on the yamis. pro seem to be a pain in the d!ck with cutting them and not very happy with stock. darting isnt the problem, just tring to find the best performing ski before i waste $325. on a pair, then another and another to find out i hate them all. guess ill just have to keep them to the sky when i ride :D:beer;:D
darko what did you think of the dogs

You should take Darkos offer. The GenII on the Apex work very well. Not anything at all like the GenI

skis

I wouldnt waste your money on the sly dogs, rode an apex with them and they didnt work for crap. I like the stocks very well but am running the simmons gen 2s, they are harder to turn but it tracks well on the trail and have been great off trail.

I just put a set of Pilot 6.9's on my Apex Turbo and am totally impressed. I can actually cruise down the trail at 60 mph and take a hand off of the bars. With my stockers I would be cartweeling in no time. Track extremely staight however they do lack a little aggression so I am adding air to my front shocks and going to bring my limiter strap up a hole. I feel like I wasted a year of riding on the stockers.

Just took my gen 2's to the table saw and took 1.25 inches off each side, they look cool, still 1.5 inches wider than the gen 1's and the carbides are the same width as the gen'1s .

Not to go off topic but you guys running gen II when carving did you notice that the balance point is either slightly not enough or its to much tip over fall off. Or is it just me being a newb?

I have slydogs on my Ti Rx1 , they're the freakin BOMB on that sled ! Love em !
My other sled (heavier 04 warrior) has the wide simmons , and they are a perfect match for it.
