Best way to get to smiley mnt area?

Will be coming from Idaho falls area, never ridden there so was just curious for some info please. Thanks

I was thinking about riding out there this weekend also and i called the mackay forest service and they told me that there is no snow down low on antaole road so need too wait for more snow low and the best way to get there is go past arco turn up antalope creek road till you come too the ranger station and un load go over the pass into copper basin

I have to work at Lost Rivers Medical Center in Arco this weekend but I have Monday off. I was hoping to find somebody to ride with then. I've never ridden the area either. If anybody can ride on monday around smiley mountain I'd love to go. SNO-TEL shows some good snow up there.

Cmatt, can u drive antelope rd till you get enough snow or do they close it?

You guys are going to have to wait. I can't imagine there being any snow in the regular parking lot, and it stays at that elevation for a long time before you can start gaining the elevation you need to get all of that snow. It's a great place to ride, but I think you're all going to have to wait for a few good storms.

The guy at the forest sevice told me that the road is in bad shape and we need more snow down low and he said at mackay the snow is still 1000 ft up on the mountain
