Best way to attach Boss seat velcro to tunnel?

what is the best method for installing the Velcro for a Boss seat on your tunnel?

Thanks

.... and run some alum rivets through the velcro with washers. Good luck

How many rivets do you use? I use the stick on velcro which works fine until we stay at a place where we leave the sleds outside overnight. Then I take my seat into the hotel cause they are so easy to steal. Have a heck of a time getting seat off the sled without taking both sides of the velcro with it. I think it's due to the snow/water and heat/cold the velcro glue has to deal with as I ride. Rivet idea sounds like it might do the trick. Anybody have any other tricks/tips for keeping the velcro stuck to the sled?

If the surface is absolutely clean and given some time to adhere......you shouldnt have that problem. After a certain amount of time the 3M glue will stop working though, just go buy another strip. The rivet idea works, seen it done....never been much of an issue for me though?

Try heating up the tunnel before applying the velcro, preferably with a heat gun. A blow dryer might work as well. This should get any moisture out of the aluminum and help the glue stick better.

Every 5 or 6 inches is usually plenty. You could try less, but be sure to rivet the ends (we're talking small alum rivets). Also with the tunnel surface warm, clean the surface with a good solvent then follow with rubbing alcohol, then wait till dry before laying down the velcro strips. Good luck

Six years with my seat. I take it off after every ride to help dry underneath. Never had a problem with the velcro. It was warm in my garage when I installed it and I used rubbing alcohol as a prep. I you add rivets make sure of what you might be drilling through underneath.
