Best Video Game Console for XMAS

And halo 3 sucked.

TOTALLY AGREE.

Beat the campaign mode, played multiplayer for a little while and was not impressed.

Call of Duty 4 on the other hand is THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!! Campaign and multiplayer are both unreal.

For a 6 and 9 year old, I would say get the Wii. They will have a lot of fun with it.

I like the PS3 and the graphics are amazing but the game selection is pretty boring.

Of course I am a Halo fan so I really like the 360.

I actually don't have a 360 or a PS3, I own an x-box and a Wii.

The Wii is a lot of fun if you have friends over. It is not as much of a true gamers system, but the kids will love it.

I think the 360 and PS3 are aimed more at the PC type gamers, or older gamers (16+)

Good luck finding a Wii for Christmas this year.

If it is just for your kiddies, try and find a Wii. If you are into gaming get a 360. PS3 games are an effing joke, aside from COD4 they have nothing. XBox has COD4, Halo (not a huge fan, yet still fun), Gears of War, Army of 2 that comes out early next year, and many more exclusives.

My $.02

If you want a smokin deal for a blue-ray... go with the PS3... althought they are quite pricey still. They have had some technical difficulties with them frying though (not nearly as much as the xbox). Wii is hecka fun, but good luck finding them. I think they are selling on ebay right now for 500 dollars. I have had thoughts of selling my wii on ebay for a nice profit. They are fun to play with groups of people, not so much when its just you. I have a 360 and I haven't had the "ring of fire" yet... (that what they call it when it frys itself). It is dvd compatible and relitivily cheep, although they have a reputation for frying itself as well. all in all, in my opinion, the xbox has stellar graphics with its ATI video card, and its the cheapest. xbox live (playing online) rules with games like halo 3

Yeah the room mates and I have been stuck on Duty 4 for a while, still waiting for Army of Two (or somethin like that) to show up, that looks like a gooder too.

In all honesty I'll probably go get a Wii too, a lot of those games have so much potential for drunken enjoyment.

Lol, fried the PS3 within an hour of buying it and went online to ask if anyone else had that problem, I got run off a gamer forum because everyone thought I was a disgruntled 360 owner trying to mock their "superior gaming system". Upgraded to an 80g and haven't had any problems.

LOL... Those A/V and Gamer forums get a little nasty. I have the 60g and haven't had a lick of trouble. From poking around on a couple diff forums, the ones that had trouble usually did it right off the bat like yours. I did notice the fan runs harder on mine after the big firmware update this summer when playing standard DVDs. I have mine in an open cabinet with lots of breathing room.
