Best Turbo for trees?

So I have a 2016 axys and i have loved it. Just bought a new 2017 axys and want to try a turbo kit. I have never owned nor ridden a turbo, but seem reliable enough that I want to try one. Question is which one?

I like to ride trees, I never pull a big chute anymore. I want it to run on pump gas. I ride mostly 8k-10k feet in Utah. What turbo has the least amount of lag? Most reliable?

from my research I'm leaning sidekick or MTNTK. Anyone ride with both and have feedback?

Thanks

Sidekick or Silber both work good and great bang for buck. I prefer the Sidekick but Silber is cheaper and simpler install. Sidekick seems a bit more explosive on bottom and at 10k feet feels stronger on top then Silber with 5psi spring, not sure about 7psi spring though

I'm in Utah as well and I only ride trees. I went with a Silber kit and love it. I've been running a 7lb spring and it rips and has plenty of bottom end for being in and out of the throttle. I might try a 5lb just to get away from running av gas. I think in the trees it will be just as fun. Its a super simple install and has no gauges or fuel box up on the bars and no cutting a hole in the tunnel. I think all around its a better value and more user friendly. Literally just pull the rope and go!

Hard to beat MTNTK turbo kit. Bottom end response is where the Borg Warner turbo real shines over a Garrett or a hybrid

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to pm a few of you and see if I can ask some questions on the phone. Sometimes I wonder if I want a turbo as the sled rips, but those that have one seem to love it.

I really love my Turbo Performance kit. Runs good in the trees and has a lot of top ends for those days when you want to climb.
They have a lot of videos in their youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/turboboyzbrycter

MTNTK

I love my MTNTK performance turbo, I have had several different kits and in my opinion MTNTK is by far the best bang for the buck. Compared to the side kick you get a water to air intercooler, bigger injectors so if you ever want to turn up the boost you are all set to go, and stainless steel exhaust. The borg Warner turbo is amazing, look at the inside of the housing on a standard boondocker turbo, then look at a tial housing, the Borg Warner turbo housing is like having the tial kit from boondocker. I live in Utah and ride the trees as well. If you want to give it a try let me know lets hook up and ride so you can try it out. Just shoot me a PM.

I've had a silber turbo before and i've also seen a boondocker system. And now i got a Mtntk system and when installing it you notice that they really do put their mind and time behind their kit to develop it.
Alot of small neat features that are engineered into it, like an example springloaded tab that the exhaustcan sits on and springtensioners on pipe & intake.
The list can be made long and that combined with top notch components like (B&W turbo, water2air intercooler, injectors before the reedvalves, bullydog tune. etc etc), that makes this kit stand out compared to their competitors!

Im more then happy so far with my kit. So big kudos to the Mtntk guys to push the turboindustry one notch up!

I bought a Silber this fall and if I were to do it over I would go with a MTNTK... MTNTK was my gut instinct from the beginning but ended up changing my mind the last minute... My suggestion is do you research and go with you gut feeling on which kit would fit you best.

I really like my boondocker sidekick so far. Rented one in alpine WY for the day and loved it. Have only ridden mine 1 day so far and really like it. Have heard nothing but great things about the MTNTEK kit though. So like previously stated, purchase whatever one you do research on and feel the best suites your needs. Boondocker for my vote

You are going to get a lot of "this is best" or "that is best".

I run a Silber kit. Though I've seen all the kits work well, these seem most consistent and dollar for dollar hard to beat. Easiest install in the business, no tuning, easy to adjust the output. And all I ride is trees...

The Sidekick is great too. It does seem to spool a little faster, but is not adjustable and the few I've rode felt as though I was looking for a bit more up top. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of cutting anything

MTNTK is great, but a far more involved install and the price point is higher.

YMMV.

Thanks for all the input. I've wanted to do a turbo for years. Friends I ride with think I'm crazy as in years past when we rode with a turbo they always broke down or weren't running right. That and the new sleds are so amazing, but I want to try it and the thrill of a little more there when I hit that throttle has me excited.

Ordered a boondock turbo and doing install myself. Seems like all turbo systems have fans and good points. I hope she runs great with out too many troubles!
